But I don't. I think the vast majority of people are good. Well-meaning idiots who keep enabling muscles built for the dog that bites them, but good people. And personally, political activism is not my cup of tea these days. I've actually emailed my ARMHS worker about getting involved with local tree-planting charities, because I was so fuckin' pissed at the barbarians uprooting it from my backyard. Plus the landlord management's insane double standards with their paranoia about lawsuits, lol. A tree-planting charity would be worthwhile. Problem is I don't know if there's one in my city. I can donate, sure, but I really wanna get out into the community. And planting trees feels good. Like you're leaving a legacy that helps the planet.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Tue Sep 14, 2021 2:56 amForgive me for repeating myself, but I feel like I have a prick up my ass. That doesn't mean I'm getting laid.Yukaphile wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 10:21 am Well, I actually got the flu shot this year, for whatever that's worth mentioning, but I feel like COVID was the greatest gift to the ruthless ghouls at the top. And I hear a lot of conservatives saying the same about the January 6th stuff, which you know, none of the ones I know think the idiots storming the buildings were in the right in any way, but they do feel it's just going to be an excuse for further crackdowns.
If you do insist on treating both sides as equally guilty, may I suggest you become a hardcore Leftist? That seems like a better way to align ideology with action than sitting in the middle.
My only seeming right-wing stance comes from regards to the entertainment industry. All they do is just so self-sabotaging to business and anti-consumer. I've felt ignored in the last decade, but what can you do. Millions of others do. They keep shoving it at us. No one can stop that. I just won't give them my money. Maybe I can't escape their grasp, but I don't owe them dollars for product I'm unhappy with, and neither does anyone else.
