A House United really works best if you're a Klingon. I regret I didn't kill J'mpok with my Shard Sword of Khaless but I did kill the dishonorable Aakar.
Re: Interested in Star Trek Online Playthroughs?
Agreed. Klingon Civil War arch was best enjoyed as a warrior of the Klingon Empire and I find it only fair that now the Federation (and it's allies) gets a turn in the spotlight.
By the way I'm really curious about both of your reactions to the newest story and what you think of the reveal at the end of the episode.

I'll need to play that soon.
Re: Interested in Star Trek Online Playthroughs?
Thank you for the lack of spoiler. Now I am anxiously waiting on the next episode.tyrteg wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 9:59 amFair enough - might be people read it - but if they're not speaking up it's hard for me to tell. I'm sharing this stuff because I love STO but also because I'm curious about other's opinions and experiences with the new episodes
In any case - played the newest story mission - once again top notch writing. Cryptic is really spoiling us with STO. The whole episode is honestly carried by Chase Masterson who pretty conclusively proves that she was utterly wasted on DS9 as the "fanservice girl Leeta." Her Mirror Admiral version is just delicious and the voice acting really makes Mirror Leeta feel like a real character with layers - not just another "I have beard and am evil because I can" Mirror Universe bad-guy. I'm pretty sure she was scheming the whole time and I was working for her more often than not. Big congratz to Chase Masterson and I'm always ready for more of her characters.
Also the end reveal was... pretty damn awesome. Just short enough to be impactful and foreboding! Won't spoil it - but personal advice - first time you play the new mission - bring your Federation toon. It'll be worth it!
Re: Interested in Star Trek Online Playthroughs?
Happy to hear that you enjoyed it as much as I did Nealithi. And if there is one mission in STO that should not be spoiled it's this one. I'm also really pumped for the next episode and considering this time there doesn't seem to be that many guest-stars for Cryptic to herd together I'm hoping we could see it coming pretty soon. Hopefully they can get the story arc fully going by Christmas so I have something fun to play over the holidays.
Again for me - Chase Masterson really nailed it and it really shows how much she's gotten used to her role of Mirror Leeta and I'm really looking forward to seeing more of her talent as well as Kipleigh Brown as Mirror Kumarke. Fun stuff and yet another Star Trek story that I'm looking forward to exploring with my Starfleet Captain.
Finally - I played the new ground Task Force Operation (TFO) and I have to say - really liked their take on "evil Earth Space Dock" and evil admiral Quinn. I've grown really tired of his "normal version" over the years so it was quite satisfying to stomp his evil counterpart. Won't say more - but definitely try it out if you haven't yet

Re: Interested in Star Trek Online Playthroughs?
I very much enjoyed it. Though I thought Mirror Kumarrke did better than Mirror Leeta. Kumarrke was playing to her given role and was the smart chick. She was also doing her job. Leeta took too much pleasure in pain and suffering suddenly, that I don't recall it being as over the top prior.

And this dear friends is how you make a proper tribute! Not even Nimoy got his own ship class named after him. But Aron Eisenberg has his own Eisenberg class of Star Cruisers in Star Trek Online.
And you get it completely free (Account wide) just for doing the Winter Event.
Cryptic could've locked it behind Loot-boxes or asked crazy amounts of cash for it and people would still get it just for it's name. Instead you get it for free for doing the event.
SWtOR has never been as classy as STO today.

Re: Interested in Star Trek Online Playthroughs?
Only play the winter games he says. The ice track is rigged I tell you!
Also the first ship the showed was the U.S.S. Aaron.

Re: Interested in Star Trek Online Playthroughs?
Ice track is easy! You just need to feel the Force, flow with the track, never give up and never surrender!
Also it helps that double tapping W to roll forward ignores the rules of physics (it's Q's made up reality so it's not that big a surprise anyway) and immediately changes your direction without you having to worry about momentum. So just run at full speed then make a roll when the track curves
As for name - considering it's a Winter Holliday ship - I might just go with U.S.S. EggNog

Re: Interested in Star Trek Online Playthroughs?
I named mine the Malissa after Eisenberg's wife since the Nog and the Aaron are taken.
