VOY:Spirit Folk or "PaddyWorld"
Re: VOY:Spirit Folk or "PaddyWorld"
Here's an oddball thought - would having sex with a holo-character technically still be considered masturbation?

Boy, I haven't seen Chuck this pissed off since "The Outrageous Okana." Did this episode run over his puppy or something?

If you're screwing a sexdoll while listening to a chatbot is it considered masturbation?Admiral X wrote:Here's an oddball thought - would having sex with a holo-character technically still be considered masturbation?

Very advanced masturbation. Probably beats the crap out of one's imagination or watching illicit YouTube videos.Admiral X wrote:Here's an oddball thought - would having sex with a holo-character technically still be considered masturbation?

Kind of brings up other thoughts of cleaning up the mess afterwards.
Although come to think of it I think there was a Blue Stripe "Holodeck Repairman" about that back in the Internet 1.0 days.

No, it just plain sucked, I hate it as much as he does. Plus I have some Irish ancestry and live not too far from Ireland so I have a good excuse for detesting the 'fair haven' concept...Archanubis wrote:Boy, I haven't seen Chuck this pissed off since "The Outrageous Okana." Here's this very NSFW fanfic about the trials and tribulations of a holodeck janitor. http://www.somethingawful.com/news/blue-stripe-life-4/Admiral X wrote:Kind of brings up other thoughts of cleaning up the mess afterwards.

Mostly kids I expect (easy access, no filter problems), and fetishists who don't like paying for clips4sale.

Re: VOY:Spirit Folk or "PaddyWorld"
I like Bryan Fuller and I like his shows. He also wrote the better episodes in Heroes much like how Joe Menosky was the one of the few competent writers on Voyager (with Fuller and Michael Taylor being the others). But clearly someone uncredited rewrote Spirit Folk because this episode feels nothing like a Bryan Fuller script. That or he drank Braga's coffee that day...

Seriously who though that Fair Heaven was a good idea? I mean in the writer room
