A social media site is only as successful as the amount of people that join and look at the ads. Putting aside the fact that its Trump for a second, the left wing bias of Twitter and Facebook have left a gap for a right-wing platform developed by someone with millions of dollars to come along and clean up. In Britain we have a TV news channel called GBNews that launched this year and is doing great due to the hatred of Sky and the BBC's left wing bias. Nigel Ferage has a show and his time slot is one of the most watched shows PERIOD. As in, irrespective of genre.
I think that this has the potential to be highly successful. And that the Left will run a cancel campaign against its advertisers immediately. I know this because the Left tried that against GBNews too.
Interesting. I am beginning to wonder on Facebook. Because the consensus around here is that it has a right wing bias.
Again, distancing myself from Trump as person, the fact remains that he has a lifetime ban from Twitter and a years ban from Facebook. Meanwhile it refuses to ban people who are literally affiliated with terrorists, rapists and pedos.
The idea that Facebook is right wing is a claim only someone on the far left could make.
Interesting. I had not heard about a lifetime ban from Twitter. And the news we had on Facebook had them remove fact checkers because they were obscuring posts from the right/Trump.
I haven't gotten the feeling that Facebook is particularly partisan. I think silicon valley has a lot of left-wing influence just by proxy based on it being an industry heavily tied into informational development, which is the antithesis of a lot of right wing foundation.
Though, on the other hand, being a complete market made SV self-reliable like Switzerland, giving industry leaders a lot of gaff on butting heads with the likes of budding federal or state legislation measures.
What this all means for the public on a broad scale though is uncertain because I don't think they're trying to actually influence broad-based legislation except for how it affects one's own business.

There already was Parlor. That got shutdown due to advertisers and supporters pulling out when there was connections due to January 6th Capitol riot.
It will get gradually replaced by racists, conspiracy theorists, and reactionary assholes before it gets shut down because someone uses it for child porn.
I feel the need to speak up that it amazes me the only consequences Trump has ever faced is being banned from Twitter and IT DRIVES HIM ****ING INSANE. Seriously, this seems to prey on him more than losing the Presidency.

I see this going the way of 4chan and 8chan.

He always liked an audience. It's why he had so many of his rallies during his presidency.

So basically he's just a little kid that wants attention.
No, I take that back the little kid would be more mature.
