I can almost picture what happened. Bad load on the prop. Firing toward the camera for the angle. All the stage lights are on him so he can't see. Fires once then a second time in quick succession as the scene demanded. Then someone screamed about it behind the lights.

The report I've seen says one hurt one killed. Still absolutely terrible of course but slightly less bad.

How does this keep happening? Why is it so hard to make guns just fire blanks? Or are blanks a bad idea and we should start adding the gunshot effect in post?

Apparently there was no gun expert or handler on set. They didn't hire one. Also alot of the crew including Baldwin walked off the set in protest of safety issues.
I got nothing to say here.

I should add that they walked off the set hours before the accident happened. Forgot to mention that.

Are you kidding me I thought that was a requirement with any movie involving guns after what happened with Brandon Lee back in the 90s?
