I also REALLY want to know what the author did that no mainstream LGBT organizations or actual trans people would even talk to her. That kind of shitty reputation takes work.
Assuming she actually tried to talk to them and they refused as she claimed, with all the other blatant bad faith in the article I wouldn't be surprised if that was a lie.

My actual, real-life gay trans friend is annoyed because a lot of men get grossed out when they find out he's a vagina. He says this is a common problem.clearspira wrote: ↑Fri Oct 29, 2021 6:15 am BTW, have you noticed that this only ever goes one way? Transmen aren't complaining that they cannot have sex with men, transmen aren't complaining that they cannot use men's prisons.
Furthermore, Clearspira, when have you ever been concerned about Lesbians? I think you're just posting this so you can feel morally superior and go "Hah! Woke people are hypocrites!"

Having a hard time buying into that narrative. At a cursory glance into the matter, I see a whole lot of people simply not saying no and a lot of people not noticing anything being off about the engagements in question in the first place, which draws into question the validity of the accusations. Granted, assuming consent when no dissent is given is a bit of a problem, but so is not voicing dissent, when consent is assumed due to the general situation.

There are clips of shows or setups where a man who is interested in the woman finds out she is a trans woman and he gets angry.CharlesPhipps wrote: ↑Fri Oct 29, 2021 1:29 pm Not to be pedantic but there's a massive history of men who get violent when they discover that a woman they're attracted to or have been attracted to turns out to have been a pre-op (or post-op) transwoman.
Fuck there was even an episode of Nip/Tuck where the otherwise likable son of a main character committed a horrifying hate crime over it.
Every once in awhile you will hear about a transwoman being seriously injured by a beating or just being killed because the man found out.
I got nothing to say here.

Yes, after she was made aware of the fact through those women "coming out" on Facebook and Co. From what I could gather, she was playing a role for the camera and everyone went along with it including the victims. I find it hard to argue that someone is a rapist or sexual assaulter, if the person in question isn't even aware of doing something against the will of the victim.
Let me tell you a story from my RL-experience. I was in a relationship with this girl, which turned out to be a pretty hardcore alcoholic. Now, thanks to prior experience through friends I always opted out of engaging anyone when they were under the influence of alcohol and waited for another day. So, on our first real date (we met at work, worked together for three months at this point and never had the time to actually do anything outside of work due to traveling times and 11 hour shifts) things just fell into place and we had a wonderful day, evening and night in various places (we lived in different cities and my home was too far away, while her daughter was at home in a too small appartement) and the only thing she consumed during our date was a glas of sparkling wine and a rum-cola. I only later found out that she went into our date heavily loaded and due to her "training" as an alcoholic I just did not notice anything being off during that day.
A couple of months later she ended up being hospitalized, as her daughter found her unconsious in her bed with north of 4 per mill and that was when I learned she was an alcoholic. It was during one of my visits during her stay there, that she revealed what she had actually consumed on our special night and I was immediatly wrecked with guilt and am to this day, because she couldn't have consented to anything that evening by any measure that I am comfortable with. I'm the kind of guy that I used to pull girls away from at parties, driving them home, because they clearly weren't able to do any informed decissions anymore and I had no chance of knowing. I feel this situation to be very similar to what I read about Lily Cade so far, well, minus the whole porn-actresses angle (except for the fact that my girl also worked as a prostitute for a couple of years before we met...).

Re: Lesbians being pressured into sex by pre-op transwomen
If a person knowingly gets themselves totally wasted, I'd say they're actively seeking to get into trouble and are essentially consenting to not being able to consent. It's the cases where people consume more alcohol than they realize (say, by given drinks that have much more alcohol than such drinks usually do and hide the taste) and get drunk without intending to that are the rough cases to my mind.
I further note that women pursuing men who are drunk seem to be de facto immune to prosecution for "taking advantage of them"; it's presumed that men are consenting to sexual experiences regardless of their actual state. Yes, that's not what the law in my region technically says, but the difference between theory and practice is that in theory there's no difference and in practice there is.
