Despite that the show did the same thing in the 70s.

They booed Trump at his own rally when he said he was vaccinated and they should get it too.Thebestoftherest wrote: ↑Sun Nov 07, 2021 5:08 pm Yeah under trump republican party is a death cult.

I do not understand anti-vaxxers.

What's hilarious is that in 1972, the same year Big Bird appeared in an episode getting vaccinated, a viewer wrote into Children's Television Workshop attacking Sesame Street for promoting communism (specifically for playing songs like "This Land Is Your Land").

I laughed at this. Trump built up his base that Covid is just another flu or cold and it's nothing to be worried about. If you listen or read what these anti vaxxers say they really believe in that covid isn't that big a deal.hammerofglass wrote: ↑Sun Nov 07, 2021 5:13 pmThey booed Trump at his own rally when he said he was vaccinated and they should get it too.Thebestoftherest wrote: ↑Sun Nov 07, 2021 5:08 pm Yeah under trump republican party is a death cult.
I am sure if Trump from the very beginning took it seriously (no one did honestly until too late) he would have lost some of base, but I think the country would have been better prepared. Not eradicate it, but definitely would have saved lives.
Nowadays from what I am seeing is his very base being hit the hardest from covid.
I got nothing to say here.

The people that ask "Oh sorry, did I OFFEND you? Are you TRIGGERED?!" always are the most sensitive.

Yep. The ones calling others snowflakes turns out to be the biggest snowflakes when confronted on something they don't like.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 08, 2021 4:20 am The people that ask "Oh sorry, did I OFFEND you? Are you TRIGGERED?!" always are the most sensitive.

I don't see a problem with Sesame street doing this. They always do these types of things to educate the children and show you don't have to be scared.

When any issue becomes associated with political division, people will take positions based on their desire to indicate political affiliation.
Yes, that sort of behavior occurs with Democrats and Republicans alike. But the people running media don't point out stupid behavior that they agree with, so what gets pointed out depends on who you watch or listen to.
