Ever notice the Republicans seem to be watching a lot of TV instead of doing their fucking jobs?

When any issue becomes associated with political division, people will take positions based on their desire to indicate political affiliation.

Yes, that sort of behavior occurs with Democrats and Republicans alike. But the people running media don't point out stupid behavior that they agree with, so what gets pointed out depends on who you watch or listen to.
Thing is, is it left or right? I have a friend who would have 'taken his chances' because the mortality rate was 1-3%. But his position in the Navy Reserve demanded it so he did so. His choices seem roughly logical.
My father was grateful when we finally got vaccinated because to him the disease was like a war that all we could do was hide. The vaccine as he put it, was him getting to fire back. So I can follow his reasoning.

What I can't follow. And perhaps this is because we hear the chant but not the explanation. Is why people would more willingly lose their jobs or get violent. Than get a shot.
Hell I cannot comprehend the family that before the vaccine was rolling out. Heard they needed a mask to get into the grocery store. Went home, got a gun, and shot the guy at the door saying they needed to wear a mask. To me the masks are no more intrusive than the shirt and shoes requirements on store doors. How many people get shot because they refuse to wear shoes?

That's not reasoning.

Choice is everything.

Choice is everything.
Please clarify how is it not reasoning?

And I can follow choice. But choices have consequence. I choose not to eat dinner do I get to complain I am hungry? Or perhaps a different version. I choose not to bathe. Do I get to complain when people say I now have a bad odor?

It's the US, so the answer is quite likely: More than zero.

Not to belabor your point, but yeah you can't really avoid the projection that that sentence wholly employs. It's just really quite telling though that people that give snark in such a cherry picking manner have not the most nuanced takes on things past being annoyed at general leftist behavior and not giving the satisfaction of taking things seriously.

I am going to be clear that I think the sole reason people are anti-vaxx are because they either believe a conspiracy theory about them, don't understand how vaccinations work, or are so addicted to sports team politics that they are "owning the Libs" by becoming a health hazard to themselves or others. I grew up in rural SUPER-RED America and in the 80s and 90s we mocked the anti-vaxxers as nutjobs.

I know in my area, blacks won't get the vacinne due to a deep distrust of the government which is understandable.

Your last point is pretty much spot on though. Covid became a political issue for most than a health issue.

The only way I think of that this would have gone past party politics left or right is if you got covid, you had a obvious visual physical scar from it.
I got nothing to say here.

Seems every person with a ounce of conservator blood is absolutely bent over children and vaccines being in the same sentence, so this really isn't surprising or ironic to me.
