If not then I ask you, what is the actual difference in 2022 between the KKK and the millions of on-line racists who congregate on social media?
Why are you so determined to minimize the threat post by white nationalists terrorist groups?

I'm not doing that at all. I'm asking whether the great bogeyman that is the KKK is inherently worse than the radicalisation that happens on social media because from a lot of my Google searches it seems really quite difficult to attribute much to them anymore. I bet you than Facebook and Youtube produces more racist violence than the KKK has in the last decade. They're niche on the grand scale of things; jokers in white bedsheets.

Can you be more specific? It feels like you're alluding to general violence typical of today's standards, which is a pretty high bar considering we were dealing with mass shootings, and still are I think.

But still, as we're discussing with DBF, these fall more under anecdotal accounts in an area of society lacking oversight, while the group in question is more of a concern for one; their principal, historical, and explicit goals, and two; their organized efforts in doing so. Violence happens to be an escalated factor, that levies them to the ranks of a nationally recognized terrorist group what have you.

So I'm not sure what it is you're comparing "that" to.

Yes, you are. You dismiss, downplay, and handwave whenever there's a group with explicit white nationalist agendas at work. You did it with the terrorist coup attempt on January 6th and you're doing it with the KKK.

IS it really best to not call out racist, bigoted people for horrible things?

I usually stand the fence on many issues. I will always lean towards one side or the other. It was always my thing to want to know why people act, want or say something.

Even then, I will never try to look for the up side in racism of any kind.
I got nothing to say here.

Who's looking up for the side of racism? All I've seen is someone arguing that one particular obnoxious racist group isn't a particularly influential one in the grand scheme of things. That's not even defending them, let alone taking their side.

It's really rather sad when an argument that isn't even defending that group gets treated as if it is simply for not saying what people want to hear - they want the bogeyman attacked, and sure, it's not as if they don't deserve to get attacked, but treating anything short of that as support? Gee.
