I had a feeling posting a thread about Superman my article might bring up some political discourse but I didn't think it would go this far.
I despise politics; they always bring out the worst in people.
I dunno, it's been quite civil so far

Like I told my cousin once, 'the kindest, nicest, sweetest person you have ever known will murder you in your sleep when they find out you're one of them!'

That is the kind of experience I have had. I've been at parties where everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time until someone said something about a party, candidate or a law or something and suddenly they seemed ready to kill each other right then and there. Talk about a buzz kill, but that is why politics always seems to bring out the worst in people.

I'd reconsider calling the hero created by Jewish artists "New testament". >.o

Making Superman a Christ Allegory is already in poor taste and doesn't work well. Calling him New Testament is, yeeks.

I don't think you understand what an allegory is.

Got these quotes from Wikipedia concerning the origins of Wonder Woman from her creator:

Not even girls want to be girls so long as our feminine archetype lacks force, strength, and power. Not wanting to be girls, they don't want to be tender, submissive, peace-loving as good women are. Women's strong qualities have become despised because of their weakness. The obvious remedy is to create a feminine character with all the strength of Superman plus all the allure of a good and beautiful woman.

Marston was an outspoken feminist, polyamorist, and firm believer in the superiority of women.[27][28] He described bondage and submission as a "respectable and noble practice". Marston wrote in a weakness for Wonder Woman, which was attached to a fictional stipulation that he dubbed "Aphrodite's Law", that made the chaining of her "Bracelets of Submission" together by a man take away her Amazonian super strength.[29]

-

I don't think you can quantify her in testaments. She is a response to patriarchy by a male feminist with a bondage fetish. I guess what you could say in context of this thread is that Superman fights for a better tomorrow, Wonder Woman fights to protect women. If Wonder Woman was ''old testament God'', she would have cast out Adam and Adam alone.
