Man, looking back, Icheb's life has been one of constant suffering and abuse interrupted by his time aboard Voyager where people actually gave a shit about him. And even then, Q killed him once.

Really makes me despise ST:Picard all over again.

Re: A look at child play (Voyager)
Icheb's death is 100% Janeway's fault for going back in time and changing history. That episode where Voyager gets split into multiple timezones shows that Icheb was destined to a happy life working alongside - and possibly boning - Naomi Wildman.
In fact while we are on the subject, given how no one in ''Endgame'' mentions Romulans, the destruction of Mars, or rampaging androids, I like to think that Janeway is somehow responsible for the destruction of Romulus too. Maybe one of her questionable orders held up Spock's jellyfish ship and stopped it from getting there in time.

I wonder if part of the reason they did Enterprise instead of some post-Voyager show was because they were concerned it would make Janeway's time travel look negligent and foolish.clearspira wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 9:33 pm In fact while we are on the subject, given how no one in ''Endgame'' mentions Romulans, the destruction of Mars, or rampaging androids, I like to think that Janeway is somehow responsible for the destruction of Romulus too.
Re: A look at child play (Voyager)
That one you can blame on Chakotay as they were in a timeline specifically based on the ship taking a bunch of casualties from being split into the various timezones which then got undone if I remember right. So prior to Janeway doing what she did in the finale. Still, yes for Icheb that is by far the happiest timeline by miles.clearspira wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 9:33 pm Icheb's death is 100% Janeway's fault for going back in time and changing history. Also great review that one with some spot on humour.

I hope that if PIC S2 really is doing time travel, they find a way to resurrect Icheb even if it is just a cameo and accident rather than deliberate design.
Re: A look at child play (Voyager)
That would be great. Giving Hugh and/or Icheb a second chance would be more meaningful to me than Picard at this point.CrypticMirror wrote: ↑Sun Mar 13, 2022 2:08 pm I hope that if PIC S2 really is doing time travel, they find a way to resurrect Icheb even if it is just a cameo and accident rather than deliberate design.

Chuck's making a final dash for that Voyager finishing line, ain't he? Any guesses what the final episode reviewed will be?
