The most likely reason they changed her powers was due to how they may look. The show clearly has a lower budget then the other MCU shows and her embiggen powers might have looked too silly so they gave her powers that would be easier to handle for the lower budget of the show. It's one of those they're damned either way situations, stick true to the comic powers and it looks to silly, change the powers to fit the budget and annoy the fans. I'm willing to get that they're either give her the powers she had in the comics in a sequel when they have a bigger budget.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 11:45 pm I don't understand why they changed the origin and powers, but it looks good to me. Clearspira, I'm starting to think you have a bias against superheroes with "Marvel" in their name.
As for Clearspira, I have noticed that they are kinda ignoring the facts to suit their views instead of altering their views the change the facts. All the MCU films released haven't been huge hits but aside from Black Widow, which was released during when films were just returning to theaters during the pandemic, the films released by the MCU have done alright at the Box Office. Sure, none of them have been as successful as other MCU films but A) this is a post Endgame world so it's going to look disappointing by comparison and B) Pandemic. There has only been a handful of films that have been box office hits and most of those were more recent or during times between surges.
And so far, ALL the Disney+ MCU shows have been hits with high viewer counts. None have hit the number one spot but they're all usually pretty high up.
I've often mentioned how I've heard comments from people who insist that nothing will ever be as good as something that came before only to be proven wrong. Like, nothing will be as good as the Adam West Batman TV Series, Nothing will be as good as the Tim Burton Batman films, nothing can ever top the Dark Knight Trilogy and now Matt Reeves and Robert Patterson's The Batman will never be topped and is the True True Batman film.
I've said it before and I'll say it again EVER series has it's high points and low points. The Original Star Wars Star Wars Trilogy was a massive hit then the series sort of became unpopular for a for years before the Thrawn Trilogy came out and revitalized the series popularity. The Prequel Trilogy is flawed but Star Wars was still releasing huge hits like Knights of the Old Republic, The Clone Wars and others that were all game changers to one degree or another. Star Wars is in a bit of a rut right now but it will get better. And one day it will likely fall in quality again before getting back up and there will always be people who make a big deal about a series going in and out of popularity and what they say never really stick.
