A rolling stone is worth two in the bush. Now a word on nutrition...
I got nothing to say here.

Only because one of the streamers I have this issue with brought it up again, I still do not get how some people on the left can care so much about human rights but wish ill on their political enemies.
to paraphrase something Chuck said in a review, Yes, the Right Wingers are the bad guys but you don't become the good guys by just opposing the bad guys, you become the good guys by not doing what the bad guys do.
My parents weren't around in my formative years that much because of work so, I got the vast majority of my morality from the TV shows, I watched as a kid.
You may think that is childish but the values those shows promoted are so intrinsically linked which who I am, I can't really discard them, ever.
And why are some on the left so comfortable with expressing hatred? both stuff I grew up with and stuff I watch as an adult have a consistent theme of "hate is always bad".
In Star Trek: The Tarran Empire and Confederation of Earth are driven by hate
In Doctor Who, the Daleks are driven by hate.
In Dragon Ball Z, Frieza's self destructive hatred of Goku is pretty much his sole defining characteristic.
In the best example of why hate is bad, in my opinion. In Transformers Armada: Unicron literally feeds of of hatred and when the Autobots and Decepticons stop fighting and hating each other, Unicron becomes powerless.
Why would this theme be so persistent in media if the vast majority of the human race didn't believe in it.

And your driven by a superior complex.

Because it's a balance humans love but they also hate.

I just don't see how that is. History has shown that hate is bad. Hitler was driven by hate, as best as we can tell, Jack the Ripper was driven by hate, the KKK is driven by hate, Leftist are supposed to be above that.
And I can't speak for everyone but the mere thought of violence gives me a literal muscle spasm. I'd honestly rather have violence inflicted upon me then inflict violence on others.

That doesn't answer my question, even if true. Why is the theme of "Hate is bad, always, no exceptions" so prevalent in media if it's in fact, okay.

Because we are humans, you talk about being angels but that not true. We have ours sins, they will effect our decisions denying them on your part don't make you a hero, ignoring that we feel that way doesn't make us villains. It means we can accept our flaws, or can work to improve, while you seeks the flaws of others to make yourself feel better.

I have improved, why don't they? I want them to improve. I don't get why others can give into their darkest emotions and impulses but I, despite being abused and mistreated all my life, still choose to be better then those who hurt me.Thebestoftherest wrote: ↑Tue Mar 22, 2022 2:08 am Because we are humans, you talk about being angels but that not true.
