The Batman vs Spiderman: No Way Home SPOILER appropriate

Anybody see both these movies?

This is probably the best back to back release for comic book movies, as far as I remember. No Way Home is encouraging debate over Oscar criteria, while The Batman is a 3 hour movie that feels 2 hours, which is like the holy grail of filmmaking. TBM was also very Brian DePalma in tone and I absolutely loved every minute of that.

I saw Spider Man. I was very impressed with it.

Unfortunately I knew about the big open worst kept secret beforehand despite avoiding any spoilers. It was assholes posting screencaps in the comment section of Facebook. In NY Giants fan group of all things.

I was kind of hazy on whether I knew about it going in, but to my recollection I remember being curious as for what to expect with consideration to Garfield categorically denying it. After having seen the film, I didn't even think over the discrepancy much until he came out that it was part of the gag.

I don't even think it was too prolific of a crossover story. I think I was a bit more impressed with Days of Future Past, which along with ST First Contact I think is underrated (just as a action movie lol).

As far as Spiderman films go though this is pretty much as You Get What You Give as it gets. They start off kind of rudimentary with the Marvel formula, use some broad strokes with the initial crossover with supporting characters that seem easier to get on board production wise, then swing it from there with a sincere 45 minute series finale scale story all to simulate a movie with a rather self conscious arc theme. It's almost too easy. Brilliant though don't get me wrong.

The group admins and mods weren't responsible. Just asshole posters. Before they were banned they got the anger they were probably looking for.

The thing for me is the movie as a whole feels like a true closure on the other Spider Man franchises. And that is great.

What is better is that we finally get the MCU Spider Man to become more online with the Spider Man we do know. Not the clingy Iron Man protégé we were getting.

The Batman is pretty fantastic, which I did not expect.

No Way Home is a fun nostalgia buzz with some fun set pieces, but ultimately fairly in consequential and like all phase 4 movies suffers from coming out after the grand Finale of the MCU.

The Batman is easily my favorite live action Batman film.

No Way Home is good. Though logically we should have seen a ton of Spider Men and his billiane than just the ones we have seen in the movies.

They only got so much time and the only way I could think where they could introduce got example Miles Morales would bd for this to be a two parter. First part sets it all up and the second explores the new characters.

But they did what they did and it's fine. And fun.

The Batman really deoesnt feel like a Batman or super hero movie. It's a crime drama movie with Batman in it. We actually got a full blown detective Batman.

Sequels will be based on reality even more than Nolan.

Well when it comes to both Batman and Spider Man, everyone knows the origin story. There was no need to do it anymore. And they did that with Holland Spider Man and The Batman.

The Batman, the movie showcased the World's Greatest Detective much more so than the others. Maybe in sequels we may see a redesign of the suit itself, longer cape, no collar, different cowl etc to reflect him being a more mature Batman.

Whereas the end of No Way Home, we saw the new handmade suit where Peter Parker is alone and more in line with the Spider Man we all know.
