Try to unify men's and women's sports. I dare you. You'll get female athletes fighting you tooth and nail.

And I'll have as little patience as them as I will for those insisting being born male makes no difference where it very much does.Frustration wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 6:19 pmTry to unify men's and women's sports. I dare you. You'll get female athletes fighting you tooth and nail.
Where there are differnces that can almost certainly be put down to social effects separate categories makes a degree of sense I suppose, but it feels bloody patronising, as does "womens and anyones" categories, although there's possibly a chance that the latter is a step towards not having any at all where there's no advantage.

So you reject the idea that men are, as a group, distinctly athletically superior to women?

Depends on the sport. I believe the initial post was about skeet and billiards.Frustration wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 9:06 pm So you reject the idea that men are, as a group, distinctly athletically superior to women?

Sports in general. There can be exceptions without invalidating the general principle.

You asking me? Because where did I say anything that could invite that response?Frustration wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 9:06 pm So you reject the idea that men are, as a group, distinctly athletically superior to women?

Got any quotes from ones who do better than 17th place? Because this whole discourse, in the public field, is largely men talking about women it would hurt in the hypothetical. I've heard very little actual input from women athletes on the subject.Frustration wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 6:19 pmTry to unify men's and women's sports. I dare you. https://news.sky.com/story/pm-says-biol ... s-12583536
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has come out and said (quote) 'biological males' should not compete in female sport and venues should have women only spaces (end quote)
(Quote) "That doesn't mean that I am not immensely sympathetic to people that want to change gender, to transition and it is vital that we give people the maximum possible love and support in making those decisions." (Unquote)
Exactly. Its not about being anti-trans. Its about being pro-women. Its about common sense. Its about acknowledging that life is unfair no matter how much it may hurt your feelings. If you've had the benefit of a male puberty, no matter how unwilling you were to have it, you have an unfair advantage over women. If you still have a penis, not matter how unwilling you are to have it, you are a potential danger to women and you shouldn't be anywhere near a woman's changing room. Facts first, feelings second. Sorry.
