More accurately, anyone can be a danger to women - but women don't want to see penises in their changing rooms, and people interesting in sexually-assaulting women are disproportionately likely to have male bits.

But how does it actually stop sexual assault? Do you assume that there is a large cohort of people who are perfectly willing rape someone, but would never dare to go into a Woman's restroom? Or do you think every restroom should have a genital inspector stationed at them?

Draco Dracul, why do you think there are customs surrounding who can enter restrooms? And how do you think they are enforced?

Try to unify men's and women's sports. I dare you. You'll get female athletes fighting you tooth and nail.
Got any quotes from ones who do better than 17th place? Because this whole discourse, in the public field, is largely men talking about women it would hurt in the hypothetical. I've heard very little actual input from women athletes on the subject.

Ah, the old Trans Pervert Boogeyman argument. That's not very facts before feelings of you.

See, this is why I keep my guard up. Sure it starts talking about grip strength and athletic advantage but somehow it always boils down to "men in dresses will use this as a pretense to rape women in the shitter".

They are enforced by social norms, someone planning to rape another person already intends to violate social norms. Notably unisex restrooms do not increase the rate of sexual assault.

So you don't think that women want places where they can retreat from men, and get instant backup if they're followed?

If you're being stalked by someone, retreating to a secluded place is the worst move you can make. Because that both makes it easier for them to follow you and easier to isolate you. You are almost certainly going to have fewer people in a restroom than you are in any place that you would be retreating from.

Again you're entire set up depends on someone being willing to stalk and rape a woman, but respecting the sanctity of the women's restroom.

Also I have to ask, how do feel about MeToo because a big thing is that in our society cis men can just get away with sexual assault very easily.

There's no history of men claiming to be transgender going into restrooms to assault women. It's a complete transphobic fantasy used to cause real harm to transgender women, and it's why I'm suspicious whenever I see people like you talking about athletic ability, because it's never really about the athletes. Sooner or later you show your true colors and pull the Man-in-a-Dress changing room boogeyman card.
