It's not just women who are raped either. The hazing of conscripts in the Russian military is vile. Its like something out of the worst horror frat or prison shower.

Power over the powerless. That's ultimately what it comes down to.

This is also one of the reasons why their army is so crap of course. A drunk ruled by fear is no match for a Western trained modern infantryman. Its literally the equivalent of the 19th century vs the 21st.
Yes, clearspira, you have described rape in general.

Mind you, the Ukrainians have every right to defend themselves and it is one of the more justified conflicts of the 21st century.

It takes only one side to start a war. Wars are still bad for everyone. What's extraordinary is that people in the Russian government thought this would be a good thing for them.

The newspaper reports I've been reading suggest that Putin is purging anyone in his government that is opposing the war.

Civilian casualties typically aren't fine though.

Putin has suspended the talks.

Apparently, he has no interest in peace or compromise.

Well from where I'm sitting, the international community collectively agrees that he just committed a formidable act of war with the apparent pretext of snatching up Soviet developed infrastructure.

As of yet, those cities aren't ceded yet, while he still spreads propaganda.

He's definitely in this for the long hall.

Inb4 he surrenders next day.

When I feel powerless I go and beat someone up on Tekken. It speaks to the mindset of Russia more than the act itself. They look at conscripts and women en masse and think to themselves ''I want to strip them of their humanity.'' The Russian people have exposed themselves with this war in so many ways.

It is a 19th century mindset. Modern armies run by modern men do not think like that. And that is probably also why we cannot negotiate with them. They are looking at this in terms of ''how many flags can we plant? How many women can we rape? How many washing machines can we steal?'' As opposed to ''how close are we to a Pyrrhic victory?''

Nothing I have said is untrue. The Russian army has not moved on in a hundred years. It is full of alcoholics, bullies, thieves, rapists and straight up scum. That is exactly what the British army looked like in the 19th century, back when we used to actually kidnap men and ship them off to India or Africa. Drunks, homeless, vagrants, did not matter. That is why when when confronted by a modern army the Russian death toll is at WW2 levels because they are NOT a modern army themselves.

And I can citation so much of this with first hand accounts its not even a debate (I cannot be bothered to though, Google as ever, is your friend. You are thirty seconds away from learning everything that you need to know).

It's unhelpful vicious stereotyping and kind of awful history but we have more important things to talk about in the thread.
