I mean they're already trying to do that with the anti "Critical Race Theory" campaign as actual critical race theory is a college level course. What they mean by being anti-CRT is that they want to teach an even more white supremacist version of history. I expect that even the meek, conservative, got rights by just asking nicely fake version of MLK is too extreme for what they want to teach, let alone the actual socialist MLK.

I really have to look into Critical Race Theory. Because from what I understand, CRT isn't even teached in schools. To me, that whole argument sounds like that schools are teaching that white men did terrible things and that needs to be silenced.Draco Dracul wrote: ↑Sat Apr 09, 2022 6:05 amI mean they're already trying to do that with the anti "Critical Race Theory" campaign as actual critical race theory is a college level course. I got nothing to say here.

We need to know what was done in the past good and bad otherwise how will we have a better chance of avoiding it.
Re: Texas Attorny General bans Pride
Easier said than done.
How many historic events were a result of one or more people remembered a mistake that occurred in history? Well politically.
For the most part engineering does seem to take that to heart alot more than others.
I got nothing to say here.

I know. People should learn from history they just don't.

I’m of the mind that there are a lot of walks of conservative life that have indifference to the idea of CRT coming into schools. It’s not just a matter of white supremacists lolDraco Dracul wrote: ↑Sat Apr 09, 2022 6:05 amI mean they're already trying to do that with the anti "Critical Race Theory" campaign as actual critical race theory is a college level course. Well not that I stand to appropriate anything of the sort, but a lot of progressive talk tends to come off as a loud siren to conservative ears. Superficially I'd guess it's most apt to say that they tote a more egalitarian stance on broad based politics; needless to say undermining attention to root social issues disproportionately affecting subcultures. It tends to come off to a lot of people as social media influenced political propaganda making its way into schools.hammerofglass wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 3:18 pmSuch as?BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 1:45 pmI’m of the mind that there are a lot of walks of conservative life that have indifference to the idea of CRT coming into schools. Remember that progressive speak we recognize today is something that Soviets had a healthy appetite for compared to those more egalitarian social models that characterized baby boomer trends. Gen X has wings for that sort of thing but nowhere near the organizational structure that comes with the modern social media age, and thus still has had a lot of indifference to grounded centralized progressivism.

The nation is built on at least passive white supremacy, consciously or not that's what conservatives want to conserve.BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 1:45 pm I’m of the mind that there are a lot of walks of conservative life that have indifference to the idea of CRT coming into schools. It's a watered down connection. There's a public responsibility to make dues I'd say, but white supremacy is a bit of a confirmation bias to apply to everyone that has reactionary leaning.Draco Dracul wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 12:42 amThe nation is built on at least passive white supremacy, consciously or not that's what conservatives want to conserve.BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 1:45 pm I’m of the mind that there are a lot of walks of conservative life that have indifference to the idea of CRT coming into schools.
