And now we have the long awaited Avatar 2 by James Cameron which is called Avatar: The Way of Water... As the title of this post said Cameron's doing this intentionally isn't he?
I mean, it's one thing to have the same name as a beloved TV series and ask not to use that title in future shows but it's another to have the title of your upcoming sequel to have a subtitle that sounds like it would fit right into the TV show that shares the same name. It could be that this is unintentional especially given how big a role the Ocean's of Pandora play in the upcoming film (looking forward to seeing these effects on the big screen) but... Come On! This really feels like Cameron trolling the Avatar Nick Series just for the Hell of it.
I want to state I'm not angry, on the contrary, I find this whole thing hilarious because as forgettable as the first film is it's still a visual spectral and I'm looking forward to the upcoming sequel if only to see how awesome the effects are and I'm looking forward to what Avatar Studios is putting out especially with the rising popularity of the 2D/3D hybrid style that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has made popular which will apparently be used in future Avatar Studios projects. It's just that it's funny because the title of the Cameron film sounds like a Avatar Studios title so I look forward to seeing the overreaction to the name battle that's about to erupt.
