Like I said, I try to be and am around my own house but as far as a job is concerned, one still needs to be set up and I can't drive.

There are other ways to work that driving is not needed, work from home or use public transportation.

Then work to be as independent as possible.Dragon Ball Fan wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 3:41 pm I am trying to improve my situation but I'm dependent on others to do most of the work for me because of my disabilities. I also believe I have a savior complex and that is why I try to urge the left to improve because I can't do it myself.
And another thing that concerns me is that either explicitly or implicitly, a lot of leftists I see don't care about principals, they just care about defeating the right. Captain Sisko may have decided having a guilty conscience was better then having billions die in a devastating war but the point was, he DID have a guilty conscience.
I'd rather argue that it's because you're scared of improving yourself. It's alien and you're not used to it. I know in my own way what it's like.
I'm reminded of reading Catcher in the Rye and how badly misread that book is by people, mainly the young. The key part of the novel is when his old teacher tells him that the make of a boy is finding something to die for but the mark of a man is finding something to live for. What I see here is you sitting back looking at this loose group of people, the Left, and saying "I refuse to change and take charge of my life until you get your act together. I'm not budging until you make the first move.".
You cannot wait. You'll wake up one day when you're no longer in any way young and be frozen in panic realizing what you voluntarily let go.
I don't know the details of disability, but right now you're main job should be just getting out the house. Walk around and get away from the internet.Dragon Ball Fan wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 9:10 pmLike I said, I try to be and am around my own house but as far as a job is concerned, one still needs to be set up and I can't drive.
To start, just see how far you can walk. Me with what I dealt with as a teen, I become housebound until my mid 20s. After that I walked and slowly improved my stamina which has never been great. See what your limits are and how you can improve them.
As Sayla said, look into other avenues. I would leave working from home as a last resort and see what the buses are like around you. Are you on disability? You could get a discount on bus fair with it.
If you're reluctant to use it ask yourself why. I did and I realized it was because I'd never used it before and the idea of screwing up and pissing off other passengers as I paid my fair scared me. One day, though I decided to give it a try without any real destination in mind just to get the experience behind me. After that it became no problem.
I'm not saying it's easy nor am I discounting your challenges in life and invalidating them, but you don't know what you're capable of until you try. If you can, I'd recommend seeing if you can find and read this book: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Left_Foot_(book)

Well, actually, it's more like there is something already set up and I am waiting to be able to work.
And your other suggestion about getting out of the house, can be done but only on certain days wile the person helping me be more independent is with me. I can't really do it on my own for a few reasons.
And back to the leftists thing, I still keep thinking back to my childhood shows. In Transformers Armada, Unicron is a personification of hate, he literally feeds on it for sustenance. And he became powerless when the Autobots and Decepticons made peace. As Optimus Prime said, "To destroy Unicron, we must first end hate in the universe."

Ok, that's great. You're not like a childhood friend of mind who keeps finding reasons to not do things an catastrophizing why thing will end badly. Keep it up.Dragon Ball Fan wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 2:47 am Well, actually, it's more like there is something already set up and I am waiting to be able to work.

You're not going to end hate. It is a part of us and can only be managed as the world ebbs and flows. Like I said, even it has it's place however much it is turned to far too readily. Even if we could do that the harm it would do would be far more than what hate has ever done to us.

Why? Unicron is the perfect metaphor for hate, he is an ultimate form of death and destruction. Unicron is basically Appep from Egyptian Mythology, his goal is to return all of Creation to a swirling endless nothingness by destroying all that is.Beastro wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 3:07 amOk, that's great. And Deleks from Doctor Who are also a good representation of why hate is always bad.

Because hate has it's place in life or else it wouldn't exist in us.Dragon Ball Fan wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 3:47 am Why? Depression and anxiety have their place, they are there to push us to reevaluate our actions and see what we did wrong and to avoid making harmful mistakes. The problem is when they stray into becoming disorders and become too powerful. Same with anger and managing it. Same with fear and phobias. Even compassion and love can be too strong and crippling in some people even if we'd all agree on the surface that they are positive emotions.
The issue is hate like nuclear weapons only Mankind is itching to use them, but to rip that out of us (assuming we even could) would result in greater harm, especially if it comes to those special moments when people need hate to survive as a last resort.
Yes, the Daleks are a good representation of hate's extremes, how could they not when they're nakedly symbolic of Nazism and their obsession with purity? Again, it is the extreme and how readily people resort to hate that is the issue.
You are applying a moral dimension to chaos that is typical to the Modern Era. Apophis as god of chaos is not evil just as order is not good.
Authoritarian regimes are obsessed with order and represent the evil order can be taken to with extremes. The Daleks are not chaotic beings, they are extremely ordered ones. I could digress into the issues of how Moderns see things, but there's a difference between chaos itself being THE force of chaos in the world, the principality or power of chaos, and specific beings wishing to bring about chaos.
You wanting to shoot up a school to wreck havoc is not the same and as chaos being chaos. I say this because of what my brief brush of reading up on Transformers wiki's battling insomnia has said, Unicorn in a lot of representations is literally chaos itself born at the beginning of the universe opposite to Primus being order itself. This is drawing from very basic universal symbolism in mythology and something no one up until our time saw as a matter of good vs evil.
Find yourself alone with everything you know and treasure destroyed left to your own means (on top of struggling with your disabilities) just trying to live day by day and hate will keep you alive. The price of it is it's hard to let go of, but you then have the luxury of continuing to be alive being motivated by it to then have to struggle with that. And Deleks from Doctor Who are also a good representation of why hate is always bad.
Most people do not find themselves having to validly use hate for what it's meant to be used for, however.

You can do what needs to be done to survive without hate. That's not an emotional thing, it's survival instinct.Beastro wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 4:18 amBecause hate has it's place in life or else it wouldn't exist in us.Dragon Ball Fan wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 3:47 am Why? And Unicron is also the embodiment of evil in the Transformers multiverse, and he destroys universes because he simply despises everything around him and thinks nothing besides himself deserves to exist.
I am so against hate, that the mere thought of being anything other then compassionate to everyone at all times literally gives me a muscle spasm.

Also, why was my discussion about kids shows also deleted?

Hopefully you never find yourself in the position of needing it then.Dragon Ball Fan wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 5:31 amYou can do what needs to be done to survive without hate. That's not an emotional thing, it's survival instinct.
And what propels us to act, whether rationally or instinctually? Emotion. It is the gunpowder in a bullet, without it the gun cannot fire, that is why emotion is there. It is why when brain damage impairs emotions in people they don't become Vulcans, they struggle to do anything at all because they have nothing to act on like a foot acting against gravity pulling it towards the ground to push against.
And Unicron is also the embodiment of evil in the Transformers multiverse, and he destroys universes because he simply despises everything around him and thinks nothing besides himself deserves to exist.
Yes, as I said Moderns conflate chaos with evil, order with good. They are not those and good and evil can be expressed in both.
.... so you hate hate itself?I am so against hate, that the mere thought of being anything other then compassionate to everyone at all times literally gives me a muscle spasm.
You're also being very black and white in your thinking, DBF. What you just expressed is absolutist. I'm sorry to say, but no one can be compassionate to everyone at all times, you will have moments where you will feel negatively towards others and many times those feelings will be valid.
I'd recommend looking at your schemas and seeing how you can change them.
