I actually look Mel Gibson up, of course you would side with the racist over the black man.

Idunno though Lethal Weapon vs Independence Day isn't too easy of a pick.

You had to look him up? Did you genuinely not know who Mel Gibson was? I thought you were just taking the piss. The Mad Max Trilogy? The Lethal Weapon Quadrilogy? Braveheart? These are some of history's biggest and most successful films. And its not as if we are talking about the Golden Age of cinema, this is the 1980s and 1990s we're talking about here.

Wow lol. Just wow.

To be fair that is thirty and forty years ago. There are plenty of adults now that have only known the 21st century.

Yep which is making me feel old now thanks.

I haven't really looked into Gibson in years but has he just retired from acting and directing or did he really did get 'canceled' by Hollywood?
I got nothing to say here.

First I have to toss the old challenge. Do you remember seeing Star Wars in 1977?

As to Mel, I saw an add for a movie where he is a big shot Hollywood celebrity being investigated for murder recently. Not sure if it is out yet.

Yes.

His drunken, anti-Semitic rants didn't help. On the other hand, it was no coincidence that they were so publicized, either.

Not that old. Though old enough to be stuck between Gen X and Gen Y.

Then feel young as I wave my cane around going "Back in my day". ;)

Also I can never get the hang of the Gen this and that so I just kinda nod about it.

I am old enough to struggle with the new slang. Just recently, I was at a bar and there was talk about how there was a fight and one guy kept on talking about leaking. I was able to figure out quickly that leaking meant bleeding. That is the most recent slang term I learned and knew nothing about it.

As far as generation periods. Born in 1984 puts me in the middle of Gen X and Gen Y. Gen Y is named Millenials btw. Gen Z is the generation that did the whole swallowing tide pods thing.
I got nothing to say here.
