Its outright stated that they did it on the show. Its not ''kinda canon'' at all. You know what else this was? It was treated like heterosexual relationships are - it was remarked upon and then life went on. This is vastly superior to making a big deal out of it because it implies that equality has been achieved.

Almost always, having women kiss is for the benefit of the heterosexual male audience not the LGBT audience. You'll note if you've been paying attention that lesbians outnumber gays on screen by a considerable amount. Babylon 5 made the correct decision. Their relationship is now remembered as one of love rather than screencap fap material for men (if you don't know what I mean by this, go to a Star Trek screencap site and look at how many views that Jadzia and *whatever her name is* kiss caps have compared to everything other cap from that episode).

Ah yes, the hetero couples have openly acknowledged season-long courtships that explicitly involve sleeping together. The gay couple is shown talking a few times and are in the same bedroom without comment once so it's deniable if the censor asks. Totally identical.

Hell apples to apples, Ivanova had a lot more of an onscreen relationship with Marcus.
