Or is that Rogue? I get those two confused.

And even small amounts would flood the area with gamma rays. Good news: gamma rays give people special powers! Bad news: those powers are all forms of cancer!

Lets have some feel good news for a change and take time out to celebrate Her Majesty.

As an American, I have no horse in this race. That being said, the Queen celebrating her Jubilee, one that is historic in itself, I think should should be celebrated. Especially with country she is Queen of.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Sat Jun 04, 2022 5:50 amLet's not and say we did.clearspira wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 12:54 pm https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-61672048

Do I think think the monarchy is obsolete? Yes. But it's not my place to say so, I don't live there.
I got nothing to say here.

It is absolutely your place to say so, you just have no political right to demand a change.

The thing is, Liz 2 seems to have been genuinely devoted to what must be a very unrewarding job. Her family is pretty nuts, but she personally receives much respect.
Frankly, once she's gone, I wonder if there won't be more of a call to eliminate the monarchy completely, but I don't think it will happen while she's alive, if only out of respect for her.

We’ll personally speaking I wouldn’t mind being born in a palace, but that’s just me I guess. Others seem to take a more moderate view on life.

William has actually done some mumbled but surprisingly clear feelings that he thinks its time to end the institution and would support it as king (not that he has much influence on the matter). I suspect it's not coincidence that being the Last King of England would be quite the feather in his cap and he's also tasted far more freedom (still accompanied by massive wealth) than the majority of his family.Frustration wrote: ↑Sat Jun 04, 2022 5:28 pmFrankly, once she's gone, I wonder if there won't be more of a call to eliminate the monarchy completely, but I don't think it will happen while she's alive, if only out of respect for her.

Honestly, maybe not. Long and short: it's likely more advantageous to keep the royals around.Frustration wrote: ↑Sat Jun 04, 2022 5:28 pm The thing is, Liz 2 seems to have been genuinely devoted to what must be a very unrewarding job.
