The third one was mostly a Joke, but the first two are serious.MithrandirOlorin wrote: ↑Sun Jun 12, 2022 4:24 pm Okay, I have predictions for the show's ending.
1. In the first episode the stops for a minute to focus on the asshole boss on that place Ben was working, and it reminded me of the Diner from Superman II. I think at the end Ben will back and stick it to that boss somehow.
2. Since it's been informally canonized that Ben used Force healing Luke in A New Hope, I think in the last episode Qui-Gon's Force Ghost will teach it Ben in order to save someone.
3. Vader will tell Obi-Wan the Tragedy of Darth Plageuis The Wise.

Not that I can think of either, other than the rest of that fight. In Jedi he was still in full Needlessly Theatrical mode but so were Luke and Palpatine in those scenes so it doesn't stand out.
Come to think of it, that's also a primary character trait of Dooku and (animated) Maul. I guess the Dark Side makes you hammy.

In Rogue 1 he taunts the architect or whatever to warn him of getting ahead of himself with his professional power and leverage in the Empire. Suitably parent to his more casual taunting in ANH that McAvoy is referring to.
In Empire Strikes Back they're hunting the rebels more aggressively and Vader is using the tactic not as an exhibition of power for the person being choked but as just an example for the next in line.

..What mirror universe?

Many have pointed out in Rogue One in his Red Hallway Of Death scene, that his chest piece was not lit up. So he must have turned it off for maximum dramatic entrance effect.
I got nothing to say here.

So... they really just did a remix of the Ahsoka vs Vader fight from Rebels with almost identical dialogue, huh? Same mask damage and everything, just the other side of his face.
Very good Jedi fight though. I really liked how their power clearly waxed and waned with their mental state instead of it just being implied in dialogue.
Also bringing up the Ahsoka fight reminds me of another Dramatic Vader moment: riding on top of his TIE fighter into a sword fight with his cape flapping when there's no wind.

Pretty much. There goes my idea that they would do a live action version flashback for Ahsoka's series her facing Vader.hammerofglass wrote: ↑Wed Jun 22, 2022 2:20 pm So... they really just did a remix of the Ahsoka vs Vader fight from Rebels with almost identical dialogue, huh? I am not that concerned about how it conflicts with ANH because it really is minor. True the line Vader said about being the learner and now I am the Master really does fit better if the last time they faced was on Mustafar. This episode doesn't really contradict that at all either. Vader still learning from his old Master and all. Of that could have been bluster.
My thing is Kenobi soundly defeating Vader at what would should be his height of his power. Kenobi should be rusty at sword play and the use of the Force. Vader has been actively using his own power and skills for ten years.
The one thing I always liked and they did it intentionally, was that in Revenge of the Sith, their lightsaber battle was having Kenobi giving ground constantly. In this episode, he wasn't. Sure there were times where he was on the ground or pushed back. But so was Vader.
I got nothing to say here.

And Kenobi is hardly a Master here.

Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+
Title only at this point.
I think they could have had a similar fight if Kenobi was constantly on the move backwards giving ground. Then he hits Vader in the chestpiece, slowing Vader down. But before this Vader has the advantage the entire time.
No DBZ style cracking of the ground, throwing rocks mentally like in the episode. Maybe Vader collapses some of those stone formations. Just show the pure power of Vader, the power distance between him and Kenobi.
I got nothing to say here.
Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+
I mean, if I were doing it Kenobi would have tricked/outmaneuver Vader into hitting himself with a rock
Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+
More or less.
I liked that Kenobi went for that chestpiece.
Though it kinda makes me how much Vader was incapacitated once his helmet and chestpiece were damaged.
