Most people are result oriented rather than process oriented. Lots of people excused Roe's twisted reasoning because they prefer legalized abortion. It goes the other way too. Plenty of folks accept the absurdity of Pierson v Ray and Harlow v Fitzgerald because they think qualified immunity for cops should exist.

With all due respect, that more aptly describes democracy. Or perhaps a constitutional democracy to be a bit more specific.

Any time you start denigrating the intelligence of the people you should remind yourself that you're one of them.

And when children learn to devalue others, they can devalue anybody... including their parents.
