X-File: Little Green Men

This forum is for discussing Chuck's videos as they are publicly released. And for bashing Neelix, but that's just repeating what I already said.

X-File: Little Green Men

Not gonna lie, if I found out my corpse was gonna be blown up in the name of science, I'd think that would be awesome!

This stretch of episodes in early Season 2 is an interesting time for the X-Files. It's the one point where butting heads with the government conspiracy actually had lingering consequences for Mulder & Scully (beyond the pile of dead family members they amassed). If the X-Files investigation starts threatening their secrecy, then the government can just shut down the X-Files. Seeing Mulder & Scully have to go through these covert steps in their day-to-day lives, just so they can discuss their work without being spied on, adds an extra layer of tension to everything.

So the government is fine with anyone listening for signals from space, but if any signals are actually detected they will show up and burn the place down?

I mean, what are the odds they'll hear something?

It would provoke more suspicion to tell people explicitly to not do it.

Would it look stranger for everyone who tries to look for signals from outer space go missing, murdered, buildings torn down, blown up, etc?
I got nothing to say here.

I mean just looking. As in someone uses equipment to find little green men and boom, the whole place explodes. But imagine every one of these facilities doing that.

As opposed to the incredibly rare chance that (especially if the aliens are working with the Super duper Shady Evil People) someone stumbles on little green men signals?
