Part of the X-Men thing is their history. I don't think it would work if the mutants just got their powers one day due to the Snap or something happening recently.

I don't even think a multiverse transplant would work but as some have said, the MCU isnt filled with racist(?) anti mutant people. You pretty much have to bring those guys too. Just to get the full X-Men story.

I don't think so and the reason for that can sadly be seen on this very site and can all be summed up with a quote from Men in Black.

"A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it."

For the most part, most people are normal people who have no issues with anyone of any race, sexuality or belief. But sadly, it's easy for those who are loud enough to make it seem like the opinion of the stupid is held by the majority when in actuality it's the minority.

Just look at the page Wokeness or Something on this very site, a page created by a series of arguments that were on this page over on the subject of representation in pop-culture. I hate to bring it up again but the reason I'm doing so is people tend to get swept up in major debates on anything that is a hot topic debate.

The idea that Mutants could be viewed with hatred and suspicion is sadly not that far fetched. Everyday people getting great powers due to being born with them which can allow them to read minds, go through walls at will, blast a hole through a mountain via laser eyes and kill people just by touching them. Well, it's easy to see how that could lead to fear and paranoia in a VERY short amount of time.

Also, keep in mind we haven't seen much of the civilian side of things in X-Men and given what happened in Spider-Man: No Way Home is it really so hard to believe that people in the MCU dumb, panicky and dangerous animals when they learn that there are people out there who could use their powers to harm them?

They're already laying the groundwork with things like Westview (Wandavision) and the fact Damage Control tried to drone strike some children. If Jessica Jones was still canon, hate speech against Supers was also a thing.

But I should point out the MCU may also course correct what the comicverse did.

Mutant bigots should be rich and powerful but they shouldn't be "every single person in the MCU without powers hates mutants." Just make it as big as in the real world, which is to say "A lot" but have pushback from people other than the X-men.

I agree with both you and Winter. There definitely should be plenty of muggles on the mutant side, but at the same time, if you knew that your neighbour could read your mind or steal your body then you would be apprehensive at best of that person even if they are the nicest person you've ever met. That's the problem with mutant racism. It's not like other forms of discrimination in that there is a legit reason to fear them.

There is also a class thing like you say, but I would say that the poor have far more to fear from them than the rich for the same reason that the poor have to fear the augmented in Deus Ex. Think about it, if you were a greedy business owner, who would you rather hire? A hundred muggles or one guy who can multiply himself into an entire workforce? Some mutants would absolutely cost jobs.

Something I think would work is, bringing up how many insane member of royalty throughout human history mess up their genes for 'Good breeding' and their only power was getting other people to fight for them, now imagine that but they can have heat vision.

There is the possibility that mutant/supers bigots could exist and just were never shown.

Also just thinking, but some TV show or movie could end up merging MCUverse with a X-Men MCUverse in to a single one.

Really should bring back Deadpool. Good thing is that Ryan Reynolds is under so much makeup that him aging out of it can be covered up.
