Picard Season 3

Oh THANK Q they didn't screw up Worf's makeup.

I've HATED the makeup of the Klingon's in recent Trek, they all just look so ugly and lack a lot of the Klingon look that we've come to love and, and this maybe just me, it all looked so fake.

The makeup of TNG has always been hit or miss (more often miss let's be honest) but for me it did usually look like Skin. Sure it wasn't great but it looked real enough. But in recent Trek the makeup (and this is a complaint I had with a lot of early Disney Era Star Wars) a lot of the makeup and outfits look have a more plastic look to them. This is mainly down to how shiny or stiff a lot of this looks and it takes me out of it. But here, Worf's makeup looks like the original and even better then that.

As for the show itself I'll admit I'm kinda sad Picard is coming to an end as while it hasn't been great I've like a lot of it and I kinda wish we could have more. I do hope that we get some followup on DS9 as I do want to see more of my favorite Trek show.

Don't think we will here, as it's 90% TNG I believe (with some Voyager with Seven still hanging around)

...depending on your view on its canonicity though, Lower Decks is doing something with Deep Space Nine going by how their Season 3 trailer ended though.

"This video is not available in your country." Paramount doesn't want me to see even the trailer. Couldn't care less at this point.

Sorry, that wasn't clear on my part, I meant I hope so future Trek show follows up on DS9 as we're getting a lot of TOS and TNG follow up shows so I would like to get one for my favorite Trek show. I mean, DS9 has the biggest world changing event in Trek history and we're seen almost no fallout from that event and it's REALLY annoying.

Apparently, Strange New Worlds is going back to the proper TNG look next season but that's just something I read so take that with a grain of salt. Hope so as that was one of main reasons why I never bothered with Discovery as it came off as unneeded change for changes sake.

Also yeah re: DS9 Lower Decks are confirming to be going inside in their next season so that will hopefully give you the follow up a lot of us are looking for. Then I already loved the "Just keep circling" so I'm confident it's in good hands.

Worf was one of my issues if he was ever brought back. Would they use the original look or the nuTrek look?

Glad they knew the nuTrek look wouldn't work at all with Worf. Even if they did show a nuTrek Klingon skull in Season 2.

Changing the Klingon look with it being so well established even if it took awhile to get there, was one of many mistakes Discovery took. I think they know that now since we haven't seen a Klingon since Season 2 of Discovery.

I can agree with the quality of makeup even with Worf in the old series. There were times, you could see the seam of his 'turtle head' makeup starting to lift. Or that it didn't sometimes blend in that well with the rest of Dorn's face.

I am calling it btw, Picard dies at the end of this season.
I got nothing to say here.

I know most Star Trek fans try their best to ignore the existence of Star Trek Online by calling it "just a video game for kids" or "just a Star Trek theme park" or "non-canon" but in this case I'll just point out the simple fact that you won't be getting any better DS9 follow up (that would include most of the actors) - than STO. We had a great DS9-themed season in STO and since then, sadly several members of the DS9 cast passed away so there is little possibility of their characters appearing in another Trek franchise. Also since then several STO ships appeared in CBS Star Trek recently, more are to come and we've had even more actors from Trek appear in STO (like Kate Mulgrew). You can continue to ignore it and bemoan the lack of DS9 follow-up or you can join us and get a ton more Star Trek. For free...

I remember there was a small push for the novels being written post-Enterprise series finale as being cannon too. Like the Destiny novels, all of the books written post-DS9, the Titan novels to name the ones off of the top of my head.
I got nothing to say here.

I must admit I've never heard any of those. Certainly heard it called a gacha game though where Star Trek ships replace waifus.

Nonsense, the ships are just ̶s̶̶e̶̶x̶̶y̶̶ ̶̶d̶̶e̶̶s̶̶i̶̶r̶̶e̶̶a̶̶b̶̶l̶̶e̶̶ ̶̶b̶̶e̶̶a̶̶u̶̶t̶̶i̶̶f̶̶u̶̶l̶̶ ̶ eye-pleasing tools to f̶̶a̶̶n̶̶t̶̶a̶̶s̶̶z̶̶i̶̶z̶̶e̶̶ ̶̶a̶̶b̶̶o̶̶u̶̶t̶̶ ̶̶s̶̶l̶̶e̶̶e̶̶p̶̶ ̶̶c̶̶u̶̶d̶̶d̶̶l̶̶e̶ play with. I mean, just look at this nasty little bitch in need of some spanking...

But in all seriousness, everyone should give STO a chance. It's truely free to play and even though high gear content is lockboxed behind paywalls, you can get "through" the game without dropping money just fine. In regards to the storylines of the episodic arcs, some are golden in the good way, some are golden in the bad way and things get a bit over the top at times, but overall, it's interesting and involving stuff. Grind isn't too horrible and let's be honest, which actual Star Trek fan could pass by moments like this and not be intrigued...
