Yes, yes. Anyone who has paid attention to Trek knows that. D7 when first shown was a Romulan ship stated to be a Klingon ship traded, sold or whatever to the Romulans.
The Bird of Prey pattern on the Romulan D7s was a remastered touch. The original model in the Non-CGI version didn't have it.
Yes the classic Klingon Bird of Prey was supposed to be Romulan stolen by Krudge which was dropped but not the ship itself.
Yes I do get the line of sight for the Warbird nacelles. I believe there is a drawing of what the interior of that empty space was supposed to look like. It would have looked much more habitable than what we got.
But we got what we got. Large ship with alot of empty space that may have far less internal space than the Galaxy class if you take into account that maybe majority of the two halves are not habitable. Or maybe they are.
No one really analyzed how decks or living space can fit in there... Yet.
