I mean, no, because these documents were never supposed to be removed from the White House in the first place. This is highly illegal and will get you fired or prison time to remove far less sensitive things in the military from their storage space. Also, Trump WAS given the benefit of the doubt when the National Archives politely asked for them back and got 19 boxes.Madner Kami wrote: ↑Fri Aug 12, 2022 8:40 pm There's also: Negligence. Trump's favourite spot was Mar-A-Lago, so it's only reasonable to assume a lot of documents came there in order to reach him in the first place and when he was done, well: "Where shall I put this classified document for now?" - "Put them in that box over there for now, we'll grab em later." and then were promptly forgotten.
It's only when a snitch said they'd kept more documents that they did a raid.
I'm curious what the point that you stop cutting people slack should be, though, with someone as awful, corrupt, criminal, and incompetent as Trump. I wouldn't give George Wallace voters any slack and I'm not sure why at this point I should people who support a guy who admits to stealing from children and veterans or his supporters.
At what point do we say, "Enough is enough. The other side is the one in the wrong and not misunderstood but actively malicious."?
I mean, the support rallies to Trump's defense without any evidence and even after the words "mishandled nuclear secrets" are used.
Speaking as a man with many Floridian friends, I feel like the GOP is drinking their own Kool Aid with DeSantis because he was barely elected in Florida, a super-red state. I'm not sure why people assume he's someone who will appeal to the rest of the country more. He also probably would lose a re-election in Florida because, well, he got a non-insignificant number of his supporters killed.Right now one of the wet dreams for pro-Trump supporters is for Trump to run again and win. Then Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to run in 2028 for eight years. Right now DeSantis is a strong candidate for the presidency and he does share alot of views as Trump supporters. And he is competent at least in comparison to Trump himself.
