Oh Goddess he actually did a video about how he thinks they know or care who he is and that this was a shot at him. That is so sad it's hilarious.
Edit: Unless it isn't him doing a bit in which case that's genuinely worrying and he should probably seek professional help.

The last thing Disney or any studio should be doing to bringing attention to their critics. Unless it's Gremlins 2. Then by all means.clearspira wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 9:48 amTbh... I have to agree with you. The first time through I was definitely like ''Doomcock!'' but watching it again with what you said in mind, they could just be a spooky gang. They could even be Dr Who villains.McAvoy wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 8:22 amSo I finally watched the episode. Those guys were up for maybe ten seconds. It was masks and they distorted their voices. Outside the look of the masks and distorting their voices they did nothing that would remotely show they are imitating Doomcock.clearspira wrote: ↑Fri Oct 07, 2022 5:34 pm Doomcock's latest video talking about the controversy has some of the highest views and Likes of any of his videos ever and is seeing a continuous uptick in subs according to Social Blade - basically Disney has just failed Troll 101: don't feed them.
Regardless of where you stand on this, is this where Disney is now? Getting salty over Youtubers? Moreover, is this where this show is now?
Rewatch that scene and tell me this isn't just a maked group that distorted their voice.
That changes the effect of the scene in my mind from ''salty burn'' to ''they have no idea who Doomcock is'' which is also pretty funny.
I also prefer to think of it your way as I really do not want this to be the norm. Disney shouldn't be rising to the bait of niche Youtubers as no good comes of it and it just looks unprofessional. Especially as Doomcock in particular is chief Fandom Menace, and going after him kind of makes it look like he was right about one of your biggest franchises.
I subscribed to him long ago and I am starting to think it's time to drop him. I know I am not his target audience anymore. That's fine. He is just obsessive with anything Disney.
I may have missed it, but has he done any positive videos on any TV show lately?
I got nothing to say here.

That Incredible Hulk style recap is probably the most "this is my childhood" thing I've seen in the MCU.
I hadn't been that impressed by Pug, but making the sacrifice of willingly exposing himself to incels IRL is a truly heroic act.
The last half is so obscenely meta and I love it.

Kevin Feige being GLADOS is not something I knew I needed in my life.

I will say, Emil doing a generic speech for the bad guys and never learning who they are seemed like a missed opportunity. Diametrically opposed worldviews and all that.
I mean I realize that's the joke, I just think it could have used a punchline.

Well I agreed with what clearspira said in that there isn't a real consistent narrative throughout the stretch of episodes despite it being pretty enjoyable and rewarding to spend time watching. I did also think the last 2 episodes were worth it.

Wow, haven't commented on here for a long while. So on She-Hulk...
I was the most hyped for this show. For me, She-Hulk is one of my top marvel characters ever. I like her more than the Hulk, and a lot of marvel characters who had solo movies. I like her more than Thor, Black Panther, and Ant-Man, and plenty others. So when the show was announced, I considered this to be bigger news than a Dr. Strange sequel or a show on Moon Knight. To say I was anticipating to love this show was underselling it.
Then I saw the first episode. Meh. BUT, It was the first episode. The rest will be better!
They were not. The show just didn't gel with me at all, seeming to just be very dumb. It didn't want to be a lawyer show, a superhero show, or a comedy. It just filled space. I don't think this is the worst thing marvel made like so many said (not even top 5 in the MCU) But it is the one that disappointed me the MOST! I wanted to love this show, but the show wasn't at all interesting. The biggest reason? They ruined Jennifer. Gone was her funny wit, confidence, and general joy. Now replaced was a generic tv sitcom lead girl. The actress is great, I SAW her as Jenn... when she could be Jenn. But that was barely anything. They made She-Hulk a shit lawyer, the supporting cast was more one note than an actual key for a piano, and the action was so bland I couldn't even pretend to go whoo. Like I said, it's better than a few (It's not Falcon and the Winter Soldier which LEGIT SUCKED) but man it should have been the BEST Disney+ show and it could have been, if the writers cared about her. But they didn't.
Also, why was her arch enemies Incels? Can we stop making women fight weirdo incels and make them fight INTERESTING foes that don't care she has a vagina? Seriously, this is just sad.

Science Fiction is a genre where anything can happen. Just make sure what happens is enjoyable for yourself and your audience.

I felt it was more of a b-plot amongst other b-plots. The focus of the episode seemed to be more about 4th wall breaking and reflective breakdown of superhero convention.

It does say a lot about this ''superhero'' series though that the most memorable villain in it was ''Twitter.''BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Thu Oct 27, 2022 2:38 pmI felt it was more of a b-plot amongst other b-plots.
