The jury found him liable for 120 million to one family, 50 million to another family, so on down the line depending on what he did to them. It adds up because there are a lot of them.

To be fair, the rich are not against the poor here. The rich are against lawyers who are themselves rich by taking the money of other rich people and very good at doing so.

An accountant hired by Jones calculated that Free Speech Systems had $79 million in liabilities at the end of May and only $14 million in assets, court records show. As a result, the Sandy Hook families could be left vying with other creditors - including the companies tied to Jones himself - to collect.
