Wasn't he supposed to have reinstated Trump's account by now? Or did the Republican leadership convince him to wait until after the election?

In other news, Facebook has lost about half a trillion in a year due to the Metaverse disaster. Looks like both of these scummy institutions may be about to bite it.

Give him time.

So many Trump supporters are having a field day about Freedom of Speech will finally be enforced, loving to see liberal tears on Trump tweets etc.

I would laugh if Musk doesn't even bother to reinstate Trump.
I got nothing to say here.

Working as intended, I suppose.

So musk is trying to claim he fired the entire senior staff “for cause”, meaning he doesn’t have to pay out their severances.

I do not foresee this working out for him.

So I wonder how many people didn't realize he hasn't changed any content rules yet until after they got their accounts suspended?

One of them was Roger Stone.

I also predict that Twitter won't change a bit because Musk has realized that he has a lot more money to lose by re-instituting Trump and company.

Which is why he tried to back out IN THE FIRST PLACE.

How so? Genuine question. How would giving Trump back his Twitter account lose Musk a single cent? And please bear in mind that if I had a penny for everyone on the internet who has said that they'll boycott [[Insert Product Here]] because of [[insert reason here]] I would be a billionaire.

The basic problem remains: Twitter claims that it's not legally responsible for what gets said on its service AND strictly polices what's said on its service in ways that go far beyond excluding illegal content. They can't have it both ways: they are political actors who forbid particular messages and as such not neutral.

It's useless to condemn Musk for what we *expect* him to do. Let's wait a bit, and see what actually happens. If speech is actually made free on Twitter, that would be a good thing worthy of considerable respect.
