I don't use the platform myself but I am really looking forward to a few days from now when the new system is activated and everyone who bought a checkmark learns it turned into a "please bully me" sign overnight.

It's going to be a mix of that and people with 8 bucks and a burner account pretending to celebrities, politicians, government organizations and corporations.

I doubt it will die. It will just get smaller. Take away everything and just leave the idea you have to pay $8 a month to use it, many will just leave it just because of that.

The future doesn't seem bright for these two previous social media giants. And funnily enough, they have both been destroyed for the same reason: incompetent leadership. Nothing is too big to fail, my friends. It just takes longer.

By taking on low interest debt and keeping investors happy with the promise of future returns. Like there are a bunch of companies that are massively overleveraged due to over a decade of rock bottom interest rates.

Nov 11 (Reuters) - Elon Musk's Twitter Inc on Friday brought back the "official" badge to some accounts, just days after doing away with it, while several users reported the new subscription option for the blue verification check mark had disappeared.

The move follows a surge in fake accounts on the platform after new boss Elon Musk allowed users to pay $8 for the coveted blue check mark that was previously reserved for verified accounts of politicians, actors and other major personalities.
