Elon's Twitter

Isn't he banning people now? Like actual verified accounts that are openly criticizing him?
I got nothing to say here.

So apparently a number of companies, like Lockheed Martin, have lost billions in market capitalization due to Twitter blue users pretending to be them.

Elon is, in many ways, Charles Foster Kane. He revels in being an agitator working for the good of mankind, but it's all really about his ego.

I wish I could claim credit for that one but I saw it in a Youtube comment.

That's weird. Specifically Lockheed Martin.

A seemingly official tweet that Lockheed Martin is going stop selling weapons to to the US is going yo spook a lot of less savvy investors into selling.

Anyone who makes financial decisions based on one tweet deserves to lose their money

When you think about it, though, it's the people who didn't sell the stock based on that tweet that lost their money, not the people who did.

If you see a tweet that's going to cause a lot of people to irrationally sell a stock, and that is going to make the stock lose half its value, doesn't that suddenly make it rational for you to sell the stock before they do it?

It makes your initial message suspect along with the sale.

That's the thing though, it's everyone with stock in those companies that DIDN'T make financial decisions based on a tweet that lost money.

Does Twitter really have the power to wipe billions off the stock market though? Dunno, seems a bit far-fetched to me. Twitter is a very nice patsy to blame your troubles on right now.
