That's precisely the point: to what degree IS Pixar involved?

Forbes had an article that indicates Pixar wasn't associated with this film, as another film they cite is explicitly stated to be Pixar's work.
It also suggests that Disney had taught parents that they only need to wait a few weeks to stream movies on a service whose monthly cost is "roughly the same price as a single ticket" and that families generally aren't interested in going to theaters any longer, especially when content is being streamed.
It doesn't help that this doesn't seem to have been a very good movie.

Because I remember the first movie I personally had to actually wait for to come to VHS was Jurassic Park which was about 16 months. Man I was an impatiene kid. The rental place was called Moovies.
I do have fond memories of that place. Three games for five nights or five movies for five nights. Something like that. Before Blockbuster came into town. I remember being able to re-rent the same game so I could keep my place in the game. All because I owned a NES and Super NES.
Or all of the family watching really bad movies as a family and mocking it the entire time. That was fun.
Memories.
I got nothing to say here.

Well, hard for a movie to do well in the box office when you don't bother actually promoting said film.
Seriously, I hardly heard anything about this film before it even came out apart from some morons complaining about how one of the main characters being gay is woke propaganda even though from what I understand that's not a big part of the film to begin with.

Only thing I've heard about it is "Disney's n+1 first gay character" jokes. No idea what it's even about.
Has anyone on here actually seen it?

Agree, and that is not a bad thing. Art needs failures for the success to works.

The only objection I have to the gay character is that descriptions of the movie keep stressing that his parents fully approve of his romantic interests.
NO parent approves of their teenager's romantic interests, regardless of sexual orientation.
