He made them worse stories than they were, and you don't perceive how or why - which means that you can't judge what's a good story or bad.
What you're saying is "What I dislike sucks and you suck for not agreeing with me." I can judge for myself what I enjoy and dislike and have never once considered myself as someone who has any final say for what is an isn't quality, I speak for myself and no one else and the fact that you think you are the only one in this conversation that thinks his view is the only right one, then there's nothing else to say.

Also, if you have such a low opinion on what I think then why bother interacting with me?

No, what I'm saying is that you don't grasp basic, universal principles of storytelling and drama any more than Lucas did, and so you don't see anything wrong with his changes any more than he did.

Not everything is opinion. Not everything is personal taste. You're simply in the wrong.

There are aspects of architecture that are subjective, personal, and/or cultural. They are opinions.

There are even more aspects of architecture that relate to the principles that define the physical world, and cannot be ignored. They can be disagreed upon, in the sense that there's nothing preventing our error, but at least one of the disagreeing parties will be wrong.

Similiar principles hold with storytelling. There are cultural traditions as to how it should be done, personal tastes... and then there are the principles that are absolute, or that depend upon aspects of human cognition so universal as to be effective constants.

Lucas screwed up by violating those principles. Not always, of course, and some of his changes are a matter of merely personal taste. But many of them ruined their scenes the same way getting the focus wrong or forgetting to take the lens cap off would ruin scenes.

Dancing about screaming "I don't believe in physics" doesn't alter the nature of gravity or chemistry or architecture, and doing the equivalent for stories doesn't make bad storytelling good.
