My thoughts:

1) Both Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd were purified of their evil by the sacrifice of Zordon in ''Power Rangers In Space'' to cleanse the universe. She's not even a reformed villain, she is a genuinely good person now. What a way to destroy that happy ending as well as Zordon's final heroic act by completely rewriting it for no reason. I HATE it when happy endings are destroyed just for a cash-grab. See also: Star Wars.

2) I know Tommy is dead. His absence cannot be helped. Jason, seeing as he isn't in the trailer, i'm guessing hasn't returned. All respect to Rocky, but he isn't Jason and never was. Without those two, this is like doing a TOS revivial episode today without Kirk, Spock and McCoy. It's just... greatly diminished as a result.

3) Billy is looking seriously old - much older than his character is meant to be as they did that ''Dawsons Creek'' thing back in the day where you had high schoolers played by thirty-year-old guys. Which is all the more noticeable given how Zack appears not to have aged at all. Still... nice to see that he isn't holding a grudge after the years of disgusting homophobic bullying he endured from the original crew. Different times, thankfully.

4) I hate Alpha. I hated him when I was a kid and I hate him now. Hopefully he is not in it for long.

5) I will say however, that this looks 100% better than the POS that was the reboot movie a few years ago. Yuck. The worst parts of modern filmmaking combined to piss over what used to be a bright and heroic show. Swearing, abuse, disenchantment, forced Woke messaging. There was never a sequel and thanks for it.

All in all, i'll check it out for nostalgia sake. Its looking like a 7/10 from this trailer.

There's a reason for no Jason:

This looks cheesy, with silly looking effects, over the top acting and nostalgia pandering for older fans. Oh My God I'm In LOVE!!! :D

Dude the show came on 30 years ago. Do you expect him to look like he just got out of college or something? Like whether he was age appropriate or not.

Billy is supposed to be 47-ish and the actor is 54. He looks perfectly normal for his age.

Amazing about that age gap becomes like nothing the older you get? ;)

Like finding out Linda Park is only 44 years old and thinking back when Enterprise came out she was so much older than you (me). But now, she's a mere 5 years older.
I got nothing to say here.

So, all that being said, I guess I’d like to think I could tell the difference between the two age groups, myself. But there’s enough of a range between appearance of age that it can be more or less reliable than before.

I don't know. It still amuses me that Smallville made you think Tom Welling was playing a 14 year old in the first season. Freshman in high school!
