Completely shutting down the XL pipeline days of taking office might be a misstep.
I got nothing to say here.

He's been very open about ignoring environmental concerns even when doing so requires him to break campaign promises.

Frankly, if he hadn't been opposing Trump, I don't believe he would have won. But then again, when elections (Presidental or otherwise) come down to picking the least worst candidate from a collection of people who should probably have nothing to do with political power, the outcome really doesn't matter that much.

How do you shut down a pipeline that was only 8% complete?

You can shut down anything that’s 8% complete.

Hey, they shut down the Superconducting Supercollider when it was what, 92% complete?

Anything can be shut down. "Too Big To Fail" is a damned lie.

You are very correct. He was considered a weak candidate for a long time even during his vice presidency. If it wasn't for Trump, he wouldnt be President. In fact it would be any Republican but him or Trump.
I got nothing to say here.

Ah that's because bank failures would disproportionately hurt the rich.

Nope, still a damned lie. If they were honest they'd say "we choose not to permit this to fail".
