Honestly for me, who will actually vote in the election, I'd rather vote for someone who isn't a Boomer and about time to vote for politicians in the Gen X.
Sorry, rule is that political power skips a generation. Went right from the greatest generation to the boomers, and eventually right from the boomers to the millennials.
Nope. Went from WW2 Gen to their children and that is it.
I got nothing to say here.

I had a really long post but the short version is:

1) Most generations are arbitrary and socially constructed.
2) The presidency tends to be held by people born within relatively narrow bands of time. (Grant-McKinley 1822-1843, T. Roosevelt-Harding 1856-1965, Coolidge-Eisenhower 1872-1890, Kennedy-Bush Sr. 1908-1924, Clinton-Biden 1942-1961)
3) Biden/Trump is the most likely match-up in 2024
4) Many of the alternative candidates fit within or very close to the current window of Presidential birth years (Chris Christie from 1962 for example), while relatively few are within the notional Gen X window, especially on the Democrat side.
5) Ron DeSantis might change things and become the first (and possibly only) Gen X president.

The Biden campaign actively using the Dark Brandon meme is certainly... interesting. Could be signaling a progressive shift (since the original joke is that it's the version of him that is as cool as his opponents make him sound) or it could be a clueless "how do you do fellow kids", and frankly both are fully in character.

Bush, Clinton, and Biden were born from 1942-1946 while Obama was born in 1961.

He's within the possible boomer range but is born to parents that were kids during world war II, and his personality, partisanship, and touch of political radicalism is much more consistent with Gen X.

Without a doubt. This time the roles are reversed!

FFS.

I wish he wasn't running. I wish I wasn't going to be faced with a choice between him again vs 45 or Desantis. But it looks like I won't get my wish.

Isn't suppressing my gag reflex long enough to vote for Biden one time enough?

News at 11, I know, but I have a lot of consideration for Biden’s plea for bipartisanship.
