Biden running again.

That plea is likely to fall on deaf ears. Republicans don't even care about democracy, much less cooperating for the greater good.

Not unless "greater good" specifically means "for their own enrichment".

Not even then. Nowadays republicans have koolaid instead of blood so they’ll reject anything even pitched as for the common good.

There aren't a whole lot of Democrats interested in selflessly sacrificing for the better of others. There are a whole lot of politicians who use ideology as a way to get useful idiots to support them.

That is why I wonder if the great American Experiment is reaching its end. Too many politicians and too much of the voter base, see cooperation and compromise as a betrayal, not realizing that the system is built on it. If the two parties can't work together then the whole thing comes crashing down and with it, the whole nation!

Unlikely. The US Nation has been at such crossroads repeatedly before. Once it lead into a civil war, but the constitution survived.

No, but I'm not seeing them burn every social safety net they can find while taking every tax break and handout they can get. Usually while spouting their "if the hungry deserved to eat, they wouldn't be hungry", purity gospel, bull.

Should have said: "for their own enrichment, AND THEIRS ALONE".

Yeah. There are Republicans who would vote against oxygen if they found out black people were getting it for free.

Generally Democrats make lofty proposals while the policies prove to be incompetently founded or administered. Otherwise you get the comparable bad faith I’d assume across the aisle.

I wish he wasn't running. I wish I wasn't going to be faced with a choice between him again vs 45 or Desantis. But it looks like I won't get my wish.

Isn't suppressing my gag reflex long enough to vote for Biden one time enough?
Well who would be the better option? That's the problem.
I got nothing to say here.
