At that point you're probably better off admitting you have a growing problem with domestic groups out to destabilize the government, it manages to look less bad than the catastrophic military incompetence if it was actually Ukrainian military/intelligence.
And was it not America that spent three times as long in Vietnam for the colonial purposes of its Allies no less?

Sorry, I had to throw in some whataboutism.
More than that, America had boots on the ground in Vietnam for thirteen years.

That's not whataboutism. That's not even tangentialism. What are you on about?

I’m fairly certain it’s consistent through and through, save for the fact that could was not speaking on behalf of us state.

If conquering Ukraine out right is not an option Putin could try bombing them into accepted some kind of settlement, which is kinda-sorta what happened near the end of the Vietnam War.
52 out of 54 Shaheds were intercepted.
1944 was the year with the highest production of military goods in Germany during the 1933-1945 era.
They certainly built enough aircraft during the war but they ran into issues like fuel and trained pilots. Especially in 1944 where the Allies had highly trained and experienced pilots where as Germany had neither by that point.

I doubt Putin will live for another thirteen years. Once he is maggot food, whoever takes over will withdraw from Ukraine. At this point this war with Ukraine is only because of pride.
At first I was a little surprised that South Africa of all places getting involved in the peace process but there is some logic behind it; neutral third party and all that. Putin insists it is Ukraine's fault for ignoring any attempts at diplomatic negotiations. There might be a drop of truth to that, the big counter attack seems to finally be underway and if successful it would improve Ukraine's position so they might be waiting to see how much damage they can do to Russian forces. I mean it is hard to demand annexation of territory that you can't even occupy.
