I think cancellation was a mistake. Even if it's not hugely popular it's acted as a gateway to bring newcomers into the franchise, which is something we really need. It does a great job of being accessible and I find the characters really enjoyable.
A bold claim, given it gets cancelled for lack of viewership.

Touche.

Anyway, if you're interested in it there's a petition. https://www.change.org/p/save-star-trek ... 8378-en-GB

Oh yes, because those change.org petitions always work.

This is such bullshit, Prodigy was a really good show they could have at least let them finish their second season in peace.

Like others have mentioned Prodigy is the one show that tried to bring in younger viewers you know the type of people ST needs and plenty of trekkies have families with younger children or grandchildren PRO could have been a fun family activity a shared show.

The Vau N'Akat are interesting as a new species and a new story line.

I don't see you offering any suggestions.

Does he have to? Prodigy is your pet-peeve, isn't it? It's clear that most everyone else doesn't care, no matter the rage of those who love it. I'm sorry for your loss, but you're hardly the first to suffer that fate. Where were you, when the "Old School Trekkers" lost their Trek?

Why does someone who points out a problem have to offer a solution?

This really rather irritates me. It's like the idiot manager who spouts "don't come to me with problems, come to me with solutions." They're all burying their heads in the sand about the problems. The first step in solving a problem is to realise it's there.

I can't help but be reminded of fans of Stargate with Stargate: Universe.

Franchises can wear out their welcome.

It's bullshit because it was an attempt to actually get new fans.
