You've got a hundred years to figure it out.

The odds of no more being discovered in that time are pretty slim, and it's not as if it's the only deposit currently known.
The only issue I have with it is that it should last a lot longer than 100 years, the rate at which stuff gets mined through these days is insane.

And just where is all that phosphate going to end up, once it's been taken out of its stable location?

So out of a hole in the ground to back in one. Net no change, thus no issue.

I love how they phrase it.ProfessorDetective wrote: ↑Wed Jul 05, 2023 3:28 am "A massive underground deposit of high-grade phosphate rock in Norway, pitched as the world’s largest, is big enough to satisfy world demand for fertilisers, solar panels and electric car batteries over the next 100 years, according to the company exploiting the resource."

All that phosphate is gonna end up fertilizing toxic algae blooms in the oceans, just wait and see.

Well this could be just a stop gap measure to find alternatives especially for batteries.
Also maybe, we will develop a recycling program for batteries too.
I got nothing to say here.
