...are you really comparing Black Lives Matter to Roy "repeal women's votes and the equal rights amendment" Moore?
Like, even with the worst interpretation of BLM, getting police to stop shooting unarmed black people is their STATED goal.
Sometimes I wonder why we bother posting different threads in this subforum. Regardless of topic, they all end up going to the same place.

We'll seeLittleRaven wrote:He was snubbed for a great many reasons, but the primary one was that he was NOT A DEMOCRAT. He styled himself as the true leftist, and attempted a hostile takeover of a major party as a means of promoting his vision. After all, it was working for Trump.Antiboyscout wrote:Sanders was not snubbed for being a socialist.
But Democrats are not Republicans, at least not yet, and the establishment was able to fend him off, albeit at some cost. The Republican establishment realized too late what was going on, and now we're treated to watching men like Ted Cruz prostrate themselves before the con man they thought to use. (the more principled Republicans, like Romney, have simply left)Sure. But look at where those groups are, and where they are not. Democrats are politicians...they'll try to use anyone that looks useful. But Antifa and BLM do not hold any real power in the Democratic party - they're useful idiots at best, and Democrats have no problem calling them out when they go too far. They are to the Democrats what Roy Moore and his ilk is to the Republicans...only Republicans are trying to put Moore in the Senate, while Antifa never gets past the security line at Party headquarters. The Democrats themselves support movements like BLM, modern feminism, and AntiFa. Those are their crazies.
Whenever you have a political and economic dysfunction, as we have in the US today, you inevitably get Communists and Nazis. We've seen it happen over and over again around the world...we've even had a brush with it here in the US, although that was nearly a century ago. It certainly looks like we're on track to hit this situation again. We're a very right-wing country, so it's no surprise that the Nazis got here first, and I'm sure if we let things fester long enough we'll get real Communists eventually...but they're not here yet.

Wait...the great spectre of Communism...the ideology that left millions dead across half the world...is made manifest in Brianna Wu?
Well, my political prognostication hasn't exactly been on fire lately, but I'll take that bet.

Uh...ok. Radical feminism is generally silly, but I've never found it to be all that dangerous. As an ideology it has...what, ONE casualty?Antiboyscout wrote:No Brianna is a radical Feminist
Stay away from painting soup cans and you should be ok.
Oh brother. Yeah, just look at what a socialist hellhole he turned the US into. The power of the presidency in the hands of a socialist, and what do we get?Barack Obama is the one with ties to the Democratic Socialists of America
Policy that is 99% indistinguishable from Bush. WOW. Those folks at the DSA must be a real crew of geniuses.

Yeah right. That's why so many Democrats have embraced identity politics, which are racist and sexist, right? And you know, crazy people think they are perfectly reasonable. Those people on the right are going, "Because we've got an insane hard left party that puts their crazies in power and a reasonable center right party that largely marginalizes their crazies." They are just as convinced of how reasonable they are and how insane their counterparts across the isle are. And they're just as wrong.Draco Dracul wrote: What's the second major party? Could you actually give some examples of crazies that have even been state wide candidates for the Democrats? Because again, the candidate we're talking about is a child molester that among other things thinks the 13th amendment should be repealed and the America has never been as great as it was Antebellum.Admiral X wrote:Yeah right. I fail to see how "structural inequality exists" is a remotely comparable view point.
I'm pretty sure a man who has consistently lost to more moderate democrats any time he's been up for a federal position or a state wide race counts as marginalized. Additionally, because of the big man system used by New York he has effectively no more power than and empty chair with a D written on it.Darth Wedgius wrote:Draco Dracul wrote: What's the second major party? One need only look at the last Presidential election and who the top-runners were. I mean, you had one of those Scandinavian countries (Denmark) that Sanders is convinced is a socialist utopia tell him off, and you also had Clinton, who once claimed that women were the "real" victims of warDraco Dracul wrote: Could you actually give some examples of crazies that have even been state wide candidates for the Democrats?
"Yeah, well at least our crazy is better than their crazy!" The point is that both the parties are crazy and that this country would do better under a more centrist party rather than either of the two big ones that continue to appeal to their more extreme elements.Because again, the candidate we're talking about is a child molester that among other things thinks the 13th amendment should be repealed and the America has never been as great as it was Antebellum.
Because it has every bit as much validity as the "War on Christmas" as far as being true, and because the "solution" given by the "progressives" is to discriminate based on things people can't control, like race, sex, and sexual orientation. You know, the things they claim to be against, which is just part of why they're certifiably insane.I fail to see how "structural inequality exists" is a remotely comparable view point.

Sanders lost badly, and at no point had any serious hopes of winning the primary. Clinton's statement is a reflection of a resolution passed by the UN over 16 years ago. While I'll freely admit that Clinton is to the left of Obama, I'd like some actual evidence that she's crazy.Admiral X wrote:One need only look at the last Presidential election and who the top-runners were. Okay, I'd like to see a peer reviewed article on the War on Christmas.Admiral X wrote:Because it has every bit as much validity as the "War on Christmas" as far as being true, and because the "solution" given by the "progressives" is to discriminate based on things people can't control, like race, sex, and sexual orientation.
