I was really looking forward to this show but not impressed so far. The first two episodes could easily have been compressed into one losing nothing and it still would have been an uneventful episode.
I'm very confused by how Sabine apparently spent time as Ahsoka's Padawan between series when she's still not Force sensitive. Seems like a waste of everyone's time.

With the exception of Andro all star wars stuff since Mando season 2 pacing felt off and I don't know why.

Because of shit writing.
"If you get shot up by an A6M Reisen and your plane splits into pieces - does that mean it's divided by Zero?

I'm also going to go with shit writing.
As someone else noted, Nowadays Star Wars seems like those films and shows from the 1980s that were trying to copy Star Wars.
Rosario Dawson is too old and/or unfit for this role imo. She fights and runs awkwardly slow. Were there no body doubles available? Say what you like about Daisy Ridley but she did not have that problem.

Re: Ahsoka series
I think it was a stupid writing decision more than anything. She's a character in her forties played by an actress in her forties but they're having her try to match the frantic fighting style and dashing around the cartoon gave her as a teenager instead of the kind of efficiency of movement most older Jedi characters display.
Especially since Rebels that this is following was where they had that showdown between Maul trying to fight like he was still twenty vs. Obi-Wan who fought like the old master he was and killed him instantly.

I think clearspira you might have meant to say “say what you will/dislike” instead of “like”.

Ahsoka is 47 and Rosario Dawson is 44.clearspira wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 6:49 amRosario Dawson is too old and/or unfit for this role imo. She fights and runs awkwardly slow. Were there no body doubles available? Say what you like about Daisy Ridley but she did not have that problem.
Personally, if we can ditch "Run and Jump" Jedi, it'd be nice. Go back to ANH gentle tapping.
Which is pretty much what's already been said.

Yeah, I would prefer fights to be a bit faster. I like when it feels like the two are trying to hit each other not make a song and dance out of it.
Re: Ahsoka series
Just watched the first episode wasn't too bad overall. A bit slow in some places but that is expected for a first episode.

Haven’t started this show yet, but just got finished watching iron fist season 1, which features Rosario Dawson. How does this show compare to that?
