It's just that Hydra-Empire rebuilt its fleet in the void of space like Moon Nazis.
So... did they just forget about that arms dealer planet from The Last Jedi? A whole planet of people selling guns. And I presume that isn't the only one.

Also, remember at the end of The Rise of Skywalker and Lando comes to the rescue with a fleet of civilian ships that are armed enough to at least hold off the Triangular Death Stars? And yes, there was some nonsense deus ex machina at play affecting them, but regardless its clearly possible to gather a large and well armed fleet to go and attack something even whilst the First Order was at their most powerful. Even without there being another big enough power to fight them head on there are enough independent threats to make the idea of disarming yourself to be ludicrous.

The New Republic's intelligence gathering and recon must suck too. Where was all of the raw materials for the First Order fleet coming from? Their supplies of food and weapons? How were they getting away with conscripting thousands of children like Finn? Having their shipyards ''in the void of space'' does not work as an excuse when the logistics of the First Order would prevent them from merely hiding in some armpit corner of space.

Its just such terribly awful writing to make the New Republic this deaf, dumb and blind.

I mean, they presumably conquered whatever civilizations were in the Unknown Regions to build their Empire.

Which...great job, New Republic.

Some random aliens got to deal with imperialism because of you not finishing the job.

Reasons to keep watching at this point.

Ray Stevenson.

Seriously, he's lifting this show on his back, and I very much hope they get into his character's deal before his inevitable on screen death.

Honourable mention to Shin being the one padawan who actually listens to her master while being a barely restrained ball of feral energy.

(Also Hera's butt.)

I do think the lightsaber fights were better this episode.

So I may be remembering wrong but if Sabine and the Echani woman both survive a third fight they're basically engaged, right?

Great, now she's Echanni in my head.

Hey does anyone else find it weird how Disney plus have stuff like chapter four or part four Infront of the episodes titles, I mean we can count the little number to the side.

I'm of the opinion that the last point in which Disney could of saved Star Wars was the return of Luke Skywalker in the Mandalorian which was accompanied by the genuine love for Baby Yoda. They so God damn nearly nailed it. Fans were more excited then they had been at any point since TFA, the fight was excellent, the show wasn't half bad.

And... they did nothing with it. No Luke story that set the way for TFA. No big reveal. He was just there and gone (rumour is Kennedy did not like him overshadowing her characters, which was the same reason Galaxy's Edge wasn't OT themed).

Why do I bring this up? Because Anakin is back in very similar circumstances. THE Anakin Skywalker. Darth Vader. The hero of the Prequels.
...
And no one cares. Not on any of the channels or fan pages I follow anyway.

Apathy. That is the by-word of this series now. Hate has given away to who gives an F? BTW, I don't care how beloved Dave Filoni was fifteen years ago during The Clone Wars. He has lost whatever spark he had and is now churning out real garbage.

I don’t think there shouldn’t be episode titles, but I find myself [only] referencing episodes directly by number and never by name. That’s the case with 13- episode seasons, not for ones with 26.

I just find it weird we have stuff like part four when right next to it is "4." Did you think the audience forgot in the half the second it takes to read the word "part"?

Episode five I quite liked, felt like a return to form. Probably annoying as hell to anyone who skipped the animated shows and jumped into her character arc at the end, though.

I remember hearing that Hayden Christensen was annoyed they got someone else to play Anakin in The Clone Wars series, so that's cool for him he got a few scenes with it.

Don't know what they were thinking with all the close-ups in natural light though, it makes the foam latex and makeup stand out to a distracting degree.
