So yeah I don't recall much talk about this season hitting the waters. I myself didn't really start watching until the 2nd episode was out, which is actually good by my personal standards -- I've done worse.
I do find the show running smoothly. The parts it slows down to exposit etc are enjoyable. It's kind of funny to think about how an aspiring maleficent demigod is so on board with the faithful deconstruction of what's going on in favor of his peers, though I'm admittedly neglecting what I saw in the first season.

When it comes to media, there is one thing worse than being bad and that is being ignored. Secret Invasion and Ashoka had everyone talking about it for good or for ill. But this? No one seems to care at all. And in theory people actually like this character too.

So is the title an American Gods reference or what?
I've enjoyed it so far but it's a hard series to talk about since it consists pretty much entirely of spoilers.
Really getting good use out of that best buddies dynamic the first season set up. Lots of good jokes like the IT guy finally meeting the one person in the organization who actually read the tech manual.

Honestly, I don't think the show is doing a good job communicating stakes.
I'm not sure it's shown that having a Multiverse is better than a Sacred Timeline as they all seem to be filled with psychopathic monsters out to destroy reality (Kangs, Ultrons)
And the show doesn't explain why the TVA should exist either.

That was addressed when Loki questions the legitimacy of authority when sitting down with Mobius.CharlesPhipps wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2023 2:35 amAnd the show doesn't explain why the TVA should exist either.
Really the medium surrounding TVA reminds me of an allegory for social media.

I really want to know what the giant background city full of TVA employees who aren't doing their old jobs and aren't involved in the plot are up to. Just all catching up on TV or what?

I assume they are looking for all the duct tape to repair the place falling apart.
