One of the more interesting elements to come out of the character of Silk is that she was, for a time, the ONLY Spider-Hero J. Jonah Jameson actually liked and remained a friend with her civilian identity. Obviously Marvel had it where JJ lost faith in her and he became just as critical towards Cindy as any other Spider-Hero in any reality but many fans actually disliked this because it was something that helped her standout from Peter and almost every other Spider-Hero in the multiverse (the only other exception being May Parker from Spider-Girl).
I've honestly never been the biggest fan of Jameson. I know blasphemy how dare I say such things but I find his reason for hating Spider-Man and slandering him to be, quite frankly, stupid. His wife was killed by someone wearing a mask and therefore hates Spider-Man because he also wears a mask... I don't want to undercut a tragic backstory but that's just silly.
Now I do agree that Jameson does bring up several good points but many of those same points are often negated by him doing much worse AND never owning up to it. Jameson is responsible for creating not one but TWO Supervillains that have taken many innocent lives the most notable being Scorpion. I'm not against someone being ready to fight against Peter because, well, this is the Marvel Universe, he could be possessed, be controlled by an alien, tricked into seeing something that he's tricked into believing someone is a threat via magic or holograms or get turned into a literal Werespider and go on a rampage. ALL of these things have happened and because Superman stays in Metropolis it makes sense that there should be SOME means to subdue or, in the absolute worse case scenario, kill him.
Peter himself has, in fact, worked with other heroes on ways of stopping him should any of this happen. But Jameson was more interested in creating someone with the soul purpose of killing Peter period and he didn't do any research when hiring people to make Scorpion and when brought up Jameson will just say it was necessary when it really isn't! This is the Marvel Universe, make a call to some to any and all Superheroes! SOMEONE is going to come!
Yes I know writers often refuse to acknowledge that other heroes exist but the fact of the matter is Jameson hates Spider-Man and wanted a way to kill him and in doing so made of the bigger threats to New York and he has refused to except responsibility for it.
That's what makes his relationship with Silk so interesting. Jameson goes out of his way to be nice to Cindy, even offering to use his ties to the police to help find her missing parents and becomes something of a father figure to her. One running joke in their relationship is how out of modern times Silk is. Asking at one point, quote "Why is there a pound sign before 'SilkRules'" to which Jameson face-palms and says "You really are the oldest young person I know."
So with all that in mind what will Jameson's role be in Cindy's arc in Insomniac's Spider-Man? Will she be again the only one of two Spider-People he actually likes, will he take on the role of father-figure even though Cindy will have her own father and Peter in her life who will likely take on a mentor role for her? Will Cindy still somehow be completely out of touch with how the world works even though she hasn't spent most of her life in a bunker in this continuity and how will this impact Jameson's relationship with Peter and Miles?
I will admit that the Jameson of the Insomniac games was, at first, a version of the character I liked because he was almost a parody of himself and given a more interesting motivation for disliking Spider-Man, he's a conspiracy theorist who thinks Spider-Man is somehow behind everything that goes wrong no matter how little sense that makes. This was funny... in 2018 but after the 2020 pandemic and dealing with crazy conspiracy theorist this joke got really stale for me real fast. I no longer found it funny as it was reminding me of idiots I'd rather forget about.
And him continuing this shtick in the other games really made me glad that I had the option to just turn him off his show.
But will this continue in the series? As I mentioned before in another post I suspect that Cindy is going to get her own Spin-Off game to help establish her own character, reputation as a Superhero and her own supporting cast so Spider-Man 3 doesn't waste time on that so we can just focus on the three kicking evil's butt. Again that was the whole point of Miles' own spin-off game so SM2 wouldn't waste any time so it could get straight to the action.
So, will Cindy and Jameson have their original relationship from the comics? I think there's a good chance that the answer will be yes as it will give Jameson a more active role in the story and my feelings aside JJ is a hugely popular character with fans and giving him someone he's actually nice to would help to flesh out his character more. It's a win-win.

I think it be interesting if they had a qua pro quo, Silk goes to locations that JJ think has action, she personally deliver the photos.
