PSA: (Almost) All of Classic Doctor Who is Now Available On-Demand Through Tubi

Post by ProfessorDetective »

Free (with ads, but adblockers work), with everything from "Spearhead from Space" onward.

"An Unearthly Child" and "The Wheel in Space" are completely missing for unknown reasons, while the animated reconstructions all seem to be there.

Only way to watch them in North America was either on-demand through Britbox ($8.00 a month) or as one of PlutoTV's pseudo-Live TV, continuous-feed-with-ads, channels.

I'm going to go and finally watch "City of Death" all the way though... Just as soon as I rewatch the Pertwee Era...

Unearthly child is probably due to the copyright mess going on with it atm. Wheel in space I am assuming is not there because of the story missing and only has a recon atm.

They've got the other reconstructions, from what I can tell. No Idea why Wheel was singled out.

On Tubi? I just checked and I didn't see any of the reconstructions for patrick or william's eras.

Yes, there are some stories missing I admit. Those might be rights issues with the animation companies.

I'm seeing "Galaxy 4", "Power of the Daleks", "Evil of the Daleks", "The Macra Terror", "The Faceless Ones". Most of the Second Doctor Collection is animated. Not sure how you're missing them. You in Canada or something?

Oh I thought you meant the ones that were the still images with the audio, not the animated ones.

Naw, I understand skipping over those. Only the REALLY diehard fans would be willing to bother with the slideshows and I'm not THAT diehard.

Understandable usually when they come up on other sites I have them on in the background as audio to listen to.
